DR CILLA LIZ does Lexis Nexis have information about cases that did NOT go to trial, but were settled out of court?

No, it wouldn't have a settlement.  It would have a court decision of some sort so if a motion was filed and a ruling made, then there would be an opinion, but not all of those are reported.  On the state level, it's usually just appeals. On the federal level, you may get some district court rulings, but mostly it's appeals there too.

DR JRand - it was more like  "We're looking into that" or "I have 5 different people checking into that"   the last time he finally said "You're not going to have to pay it, ok?"

Earlier I wrote that DR JOSE had recommended an Elgar CD...and of course I meant ELDAR....although I am sure he has good things to say about Elgar as well.

My son the future attorney department:  Cilla, you may get a kick out of this.  We were cleaning up in the kitchen and I found a little story by Zach about a big dinosaur that gets run over by a Mac truck.  It was entitled "The Story of Barne."  When I told Zach that's not how you spell Barney, he replied, without missing a beat, "I did it that way to avoid copyright issues."   ;D

Well, that apple didn't fall far from the tree!

Cilla,

I find your comments rather interesting and ironically i can see similar words stated about online databases and journals for academic libraries. it is shocking what the prices are.

The scholars do not get any thing for their submissions but for libraries and stuff to subscribe the prices are ridiculous. One of the journals costs over 800 a year for four issues.

I'm watching Meet The Robinsons, a very loud movie.

Next to Transformers, it is quiet!

1. Will he retain ADA?

2. Will he do away with No Child left behind?

Both of these issues are basically up to Congress.

I can't imagine a congress doing away with either one. Though there are those of us who think ADA needs a major overhaul to help eliminate the abuses - wheel-chair accessible dance platforms, all buses wheel-chair accessible, etc.

There are also those of us who think the Federal government should get out of the Education business (almost) entirely. (I could support a small Federal agency that helped coordinate state efforts at standardization.) The Federal Government unfunded mandates in the area of Special Ed is a major contributor to the decline in public education. Although states are spending more per pupil - huge amounts of these funds get sucked up into SpecEd programs and the regular classrooms suffer.

Wonderful!

Last Saturday was Children's Day in the forest.

My daughter was so pleased to send me a photo of the Grandlads, decked out in camouflage, proudly posing over the decapitated, gutted carcass of a young deer :'(

The 11 year olds first kill! (And boy is the 8 year old jealous).

WARNING - NOT A PRETTY PICTURE!
