Lots of stuff happening to DR's....how lovely....and some not so.

I did love the Indian Beatles posted by DR MBARNUM.....the lead dancer looks like the girl from GUMNAAM.....sort of.

DR RLP I thought Ms Hayward was wonderful in WITH A SONG IN MY HEART, as well....although the color seemed to fluctuate some in different scenes.

And her miming of the songs was excellent - Jane Froman's voice was certainly a close match for Susan's speaking voice, and you could believe that that voice came out of her....

And the stories in the extras were also very interesting.

All this AND Thelma Ritter.    Even with the shocking moment!

I'm going to have a day of FUN.

I'm only going to view DVDs for fun today, and I'll be starting with the conclusion of PRIDE & PREJUDICE. After that, HANGOVER SQUARE which I've been dying to watch for weeks but had no time. After that, BORAT to clear it from my DVR.

Tonight, I'll be attending the national tour of THE DROWSY CHAPARONE, and I'm really looking foward to it. The show starts at 7:30 so it shouldn't be late when I get home. First stage show I've seen in months.

I have the Blu-ray of CLOSE ENCOUNTERS here with all three versions of the film all on one disc. Amazing how they can do this with the advance in technology.

I won't be getting to it, however, until next weekend at the earliest.

Sunday morning greetings!  As DR Elmore has told you, we had a delightful visit with him last night.  I'm so sorry his evening ended with more family turmoil.

A very peculiar thing happened last evening.  All week, DH Richard has been working in our yard, raking leaves (we have a lot of trees) and packing them up in big black trash bags for pick-up on Tuesday.  The bags were on the curb when I arrived home from work and when DR Elmore arrived shortly thereafter.  The 3 of us decided on our pizza, I placed the order by phone, and after a little while, Richard went to pick it up.  He discovered that all the bags of leaves were GONE from the curb side.  Now, what would someone want with 5 or 6 huge trash bags full of leaves?

The Leaf Aliens who are trying to make their planet beautiful.

Or some crazy designer from Project Runway who is making leaf dresses for a wedding party.

They could take those leaves to the MacBeths and just sorta scatter 'em.

With ABC telecasting the American Music Awards tonight, I'll only have DEXTER to record. Another late NFL game will push COLD CASE back enough to make me not record it.

I will miss not having BROTHERS & SISTERS to watch (or DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES either).

Is the TV ratings sweeps period over?  I'm having trouble figuring that out.

Another obit to report, actress Sigrid Valdis, who played Col. Klink's secretary Hilda on HOGAN'S HEROES died Oct. 14. Her family, as per Valdis' wishes, only now reported it to to the news media.
