BRING IT ON
« on: November 30, 2007, 12:24:42 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes brought it on, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're bringing it on right now, then they'll think about coming home.

no porn.... could be a soap tape or an old tape of some movie or tv show.  I had  it in storage at my parents  and I never labeled it... This could be interesting....

I brought a box of tapes back my storage to be gone through that I had in storage and there are several in the box that are mysterious...

Will wonders never cease??  Last night's preview performance started at about 8:00 and ended at 10:32!!  We cut about 17 minutes off the time from last night and we didn't (officially) cut any dialogue!  As far as I know, there weren't any major goofs.  We had almost a full audience and they loved it!  The energy and pacing were sustained throughout the whole performance.  A good time was had by all. ;D

Now...all we have to do is keep this up for all three weekends. :)

And for a video clip, click HERE (it takes a moment to load).  If you watch the introduction (the first 30 seconds), you can see me on the right when our segment is announced.  After that, scroll right until there is about 2 minutes and 30 seconds left (as indicated by the timer on the right side of the scroll bar) and that's where our segment really starts. :D

Good morning, all! I have a day crammed with incident and a harp part for the delightful Karen Lindquist to be finished: this morning my neighbor, who needed to rent a  car yesterday, and I are taking many cartons of discarded books, videos, CDs, etc. down to the Gay & Lesbian Community Center for donation.  We cold have taken them around the corner to the local NYPL branch, but it's closed for renovation so the Center on 13th Street gets the bundle.  After that, my drummer friend Dan is coming by to pick up the finished band parts for next Wednesday's rehearsal, and then I have my yearly physical and flu shot.  In between this excitement, I shall continue to grind out this harp part, which is the biggest part of this piece I'm scoring.  I hope to have it finished for Karen by Sunday.

TOD:
DVD:  I rented BROTHERS & SISTERS SEason 1 from Netflix
CD: Victoria (ugh) Clark's "Fifteen Seconds of Fame," The Music of Scott Alan, a lot of Christmas CDs
    VCR:  It's all too thrilling

I enjoyed the "rotting flesh and jazz hands"! LOL! Looks like a lot of fun and a nice excape from all the seasonal theatre fare!

I just broke out the Arthur Fiedler Broadway CD. I bought it in deperation for a porject a few years ago but never ended up listening to it and almost traded it. I'm listening to "Aquarius"---sounds more like the score from "How the West Was Won!"

Nice clip, DR GEORGE.

DR EDISAURUS thanks for the info about the film.  Hmmmmm that means that Judy's work on VALLEY OF THE DOLLS was processed just not used and sat somewhere until it was destroyed.

I wonder if any DR's can help me? I am finishing the Johnny Mercer demo I'm taking out to LA next week. We're showing it to the guy who may potentially end up directing the doc and I'm sure I will be nixed as editor since I am geographically undesireable, but I want to at least make this demo look good.

So I wonder if any DR's have the sheet music to "Laura"? I specifically need the page with the music and lyrics: "Footsteps that you hear down the hall The laugh that floats on a summer night That you can never quite recall".

If anyone has it and could be so kind as to scan it at a good res and email it to me, I would be so very grateful. The producer promised to do this over a month ago---it's the only thing I asked for---and now time is running out.

If anyone can help, PM me and I'll send you my email if you don't already have it.

Thanks!

I have to go to a funeral today for the sister of a good friend. She died unexpectedly Thanksgiving night, after they all had dinner together. I haven't seen my friend in awhile---she broke up with her girlfriend for another woman, so I've been spending time trying to cheer up the ex girlfriend. I haven't seen my friend since they broke up even though she has wanted to get together and have me meet her new love, so it will be awkward but I want to be there anyway, to support her.

Her sister had 3 kids, one of whom we brought in as an intern on the last feature I cut. They have had a tough time; she has had addiction problems for a long time, but this took everyone by surprise.

I tried to harvest seeds from my passiflora lutea for you (little creamy-white delicate passion flower) but the pods all fell off with the rain and I couldn't find any of them!

It was just called a red passion flower. I'll see if there are any seed pods over the next few weeks.

I'm up. I slept until 7:10am which is late for me. Work is a distant memory already  ;) I had a nice bowl of oatmeal with orange flavored cranberries and organic banana chips (from Trader Joe's). We are getting ready for the annual volunteer marathon. We begin today unloading the truck with the major gifts (sweaters, gloves, scarves, hats and socks) and we have to set up the room so that Monday when everyone else comes we will be ready to jump in and make gift bags.

I won't be around much during the week. I'll be at the Equity office with no computer access. Unfortunately I won't be running into Jose since there are usually no auditions schedueled at Equity during this time. His auditions will probably be at Ripley-Grier or Chelsea Studios (or even perhaps Nola Studios).

See you all around the campfire tonight.
