Der Brucer wants on.  Later.

You gotta ring them bells, you gotta ring them bells, you gotta make 'em sing and really ring them bells; it's such a happy thing to hear them ting-a-ling, you gotta ring them bells.

What is this, a monologue?

No, if it was a monlogue, it would be funny! ;)

What a fun day I've had in the home theater.

I began by rewatching the deleted scenes from UNDERDOG. A reader asked me to give him some specific information about the deleted scenes on the Blu-ray (the DVD only has 3; the Blu-ray has 6) since he has a friend who was in the movie. So, I had to rewatch them to put them back in my memory so I could answer questions.

Next, I decided I wanted to rewatch SLEEPING BEAUTY.

It is going to be Disney's first animated classic in HD (coming out in the fall of 2008). There is a full 1080p preview for it on the UNDERDOG Blu-ray.

Honestly, putting in the sDVD of it into the PS3 and having it upconvert the image to 1080p, I could tell little to no difference between the 1080p previews and the upconverted DVD on my set.

As always, I enjoyed the movie enormously.

I concluded my afternoon with HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS. Well, I got to within the last 35 minutes of the end. Harry and company have just entered the chamber of secrets when I turned everything off. I'll finish it up later today before I head out tonight for the dinner.

I stayed home again today.  I felt worse, rather than better.  I ended up going back to bed and sleeping until 11:30, which I haven't done for years.

Thank you Matt H. for the get well wishes.

In other doctor news, I had stopped taking the anti-inflammatory pills about two or three weeks ago, because I was suffering severe abdominal pain becuase of them.  I thought  it would get better on it's own, but I was still hurting when I saw the doctor yesterday.  He gaave me a new medication (new to me) which he said was an improvement on even Prilosdec or Nexium.  It is called Protonix, and I take one a day, one half hour before my first meal of the day.  He said that coffee doesn't count as a meal, and in order to make this stuff work requires actual food in your stomach.

I took my first one of these pills yesterday, and I can already feel a big improvement.  After several days of healing the doctor said I shlould be able to start taking the aniti-inflammatory  along with this medication

Also, I am losing all my range of motion in my left shoulder, so it is back to Dr. Hunk after tbe first of the year.

See how I posted all this info without getting to 10,000 posts.  Maybe I should hold off until Christmas Day to hit that mark?

No-o-o-o, that's only 2 posts and you'd have to be away from us for 5 whole days to do that!  We'd miss you!

RE Protonix - my DH takes it quite successfully.  I think drug interactions are very tricky.

Please continue taking care of yourself.

OK, who'll be the first person to write a lyric about being a Photobucketeer?

Sandy Wilson wrote a musical about it (1953)

It is possible I have the name wrong.

There is I believe a CONTRACT for two movies based on The Hobbit. Peter Jackson is indeed the man.  So the "tone" should be Ok. Maybe we had the news here earlier because we are closer to Hobbitland. 2010 and 2011 will be the release dates. The movies will be made simultaneously.

I know have everything in my music collection NOT.

I am need of "Yes Virgina there is a Santa Clause"  I have no idea how such things are sent by email, downloaded etc. It's the Jose Ferrer version I am after.  (I realise many of you will have the Little Jimmy Osmond one).

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I'm currently washing my towels and bed sheets so that when I get back on January 1, 2008, I can come home to clean linens.  Or something like that?!?!?  -And why do I care?!?!  And why do you care?!?!?  Or do you?!?!  Or don't you?!?!?

Jose, I was fascinated to learn from your post last evening that you washed all of your clothes in your hamper.  I tried that once, but the water kept leaking out the sides.  Besides, I couldn't figure out how to dry the damn stuff after I had washed it.

What exciting news, that we can post comments about celebrities, and they will magically join our merry band.  In short order, I expect to see new member status for Barbra Streisand, Susan Surandon, Bernadette Peters, and my own personal favorite - Miss Patti LuPone!!!  And isn't there some conductor with his head up his rear, that DR elmore has discussed on occasion?  But Mr. Barnum please consider the story of THE MONKEY'S PAW before adding any of your heroes.  I just hope it works!
