The cashier at Borders just messed up. [Sorry, DR td!] He rang up my $50.00 item, already discounted at 20%, and added my 30% coupon on top, so I got it for $25.00.
Not too shabby.
And I am morally reprehensible for not pointing it out.
I must be punished.
Actually, Singdaw, we CAN do that. The coupon only works on the S.R.P of the item, NOT on the marked 20%. . .
The computers are programmed to do it that way. . .but I suppose errors could be made; I know that where I am, the coupon will only take off from the list price, not the sales price, and there's nothing we can do about it.
That is why we often point out that the marked discount is already better than the coupon's discount. . .
