Thank you for thinking of me, Ginny. I love independent bookstores. BK and Jane will probably remember an old haunt of mine, Papa Bach.

Right now I'm enjoying Maeve Binchy--one of your recommendations. (not mystery)

I rarely purchased books when I was younger, mostly used the library.  Where was Papa Bach.

;D ;D ;D I thought Sherlock was having fun in the snow, silly me.

Jose, BTW, which night(s) are you seeing APPLAUSE?  And any buzz you can talk about?

The only night I can see it is the final dress rehearsal (which reminds me, I need to put my request in for tickets).  As for buzz, I don't really have any.  As it turned out, due to some over-staffing, I'm not working on next week's presentation.  So, since I'm not in the "room"... However, I have been at the casting office, so... ;)

What is it that we're drooling for
Levain, Levain
Nothing around
Puts on a pound
Like sweet Levain

Your dinner is through
You're totally stuffed
Then suddenly you
Smell it baking

I walked to the beach today. My legs are starting to protest. We're only a few blocks away, but the hills make it seem like more. I rolled up my jeans & let the waves play catch & release with my ankles. I took some pictures of some sandpipers w/ my camera phone, but I doubt they'll look good at all.

You should make a calendar of Sherlock photos and sell it. Or a coffee table book...

I sent a couple of the photos to his breeder & she lamented his blue eye & that he is turning out to be the pick of the litter.  She did think he would, way back when-before his eye didn't turn brown.  Lucky us. :)

And here's today's dose of homemade Food Porn:

I did think that your post on the preparation of such did sound a bit, well, not pornographic, but at least sensual!  :o

Thank you DR’s for the compliments regarding our sweet boy.  We took so many great pics of him the last two days it was difficult to choose which ones to post.  Hmmm…it’s still January, I can scattered them throughout the winter. ;)

DR Jose, my bacon loving friend didn't accompany her husband to the aquarium today. (We were in the thanks section of the program and the head of Safe Kids also thanked Matt and his "team". We got a big laugh out of that, and thereafter he referred to me as "team". "Hey, team, want some more coffee?" etc...

So my DH and I sampled it, and it is quite interesting. Not something I would buy on a regular basis, but it's certainly fun to try it and share with others!

Wish we could have stayed a few more days and invaded your kitchen tonight!

Funny ad, but I must say it's the first time someone has told me a farting squirrel reminded them of me.  I guess that's a good thing  ;)

You're welcome, DR Jeanne.  I've been catching up on one of my work tasks - reading book review journals - and have found a lot of new things for me to read, too.  Have you read Susan Wittig Albert's China Bayles Herbal Mysteries?

I couldn’t open anything here.   This worked better.

Well, Giuliani is out of the race.  He didn't actually say it but his speech was all in the past tense and now the news shows are confirming that tomorrow he will endorse John McCain

He could also be named Branch ben Ronkonkoma.  Hmmmm...sounds like a porn star name.

I suppose you all think it's funny, don't you?  Well, my broken heart is due to you--this website, devoted to me, has only very rarely brought me up at all.  Luckily rehab has internet access, so I'll be watching--hopefully you can all make it up to me.
