Well, you've read the notes, the notes were back to normal, and now it is time for you to post until the back to normal cows come home.

Is anybody there?  Does anybody care?  Does anybody see what I see?  What am I, John Adams all of a sudden?

Thanks for the food porn, DR JoseSPiano.  :)   And if you happen to go back to The Cupboard to pick up a copy of their cookbook, would you mind picking up an extra copy for me?  I'll reimburse you!

ps:  really enjoyed that "frozen Grand Central" video clip!!

Sorry to hear about the job prospect, DR Kerry.  Perhaps there is someone needing to hire a bowtie expert?

I guess it's the "fiddling" part of them that frustrates me...I like instant gratification!

Although I'd rather have Fifty Percent of him...

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I'm "reminded" that the second morning is always something of a "surprise".  Thankfully, Red Bull is one of the sponsors of the conference.  ;)

The APB has already been posted at all gyms, studio canteens and nursing homes.

You're welcome, DR singdaw.  I'm thinking I may head back there again today.  Yes, I know I should have some BBQ while I'm here in town, but, frankly, I'm just not in a BBQ mood.  But that will most likely change tomorrow.  We shall see.  But I'd be more than happy to at least stop back by The Cupboard for a cookbook for you (and myself).

There's one in the West Village.  I haven't given it a try since there are so many non-chain falafel shop options in the area, but I guess I could always go there on a "fishing expedition", so to speak. ;)s

Good morning, all!  Last night around midnight, because I'm sleeping on an air mattress and can hear things through the floor, I was awakened by the sobbing of the neighbor below me.  This is the third time this week this has happened, and I'm concerned.  I know she's going through health problems and surgery soon, and I worry about her.  I also don't want to go down and ask her since it's only my business if she tells me something. So, if you could all send her some vibes for her health, that would be nice.

The laundry is in, and I am feeling somewhat better than I did yesterday afternoon; I was fearing that the exhaustion of this 4-week megillah was really making me ill.

DR MBarnum, the Abner and Daisy Mae are from my favorite piece of idiotic literature, NBC's dreadful soap opera PASSIONS.

As for the Topic of the Day...

Well... I still remember seeing "Orca" at the drive-in movie with my parents when I was nine, and I remember seeing it again on TV a few years later.  After reading BK's "review", it's good to know that the movie is probably as stupid and confusing now as it was then. ;)

Saturday morning greetings!  I'd ordinarily be half-way to work at this time, but took a vacation day today.  My AAUW group is having a luncheon meeting with an immigration attorney as the guest speaker (not DR Cillaliz, though).  My sister in in town and is going with me.  She and I don't get to pal around much, so it should be fun.
