Then I watched tonight's LAW & ORDER. Good show with a couple of good showcase scenes for Sam Waterston.

Strangely, I STILL haven't gotten my Lana Turner DVD set. It was mailed over a week ago. Must be coming by turtle.

I spent the first part of the evening rewatching about 75% of PRIDE & PREJUDICE (the recent film version) upconverted. Lovely as always.

I just finished watching the Greer Garson version!  Which, of course, I've owned, but had never seen.  I like Garson in this better than anything else I've seen of hers, truly.
I was thinking about watching a bit of BRIDE & PREJUDICE now.
I'm very fond of the recent version.
Still, the best is the PBS version with the delightful Darcy of Colin Firth.

I keep forgetting to thank BK for introducing me to the music of THE BRASS RING...it was the perfect music for the hectic drives on the freeways the past couple of days...honestly helped keep me calm!

I have absolutely know idea what I am going to do tomorrow...that was the day I had set aside to interview Rad Fulton, but as he had to cancel and make a trip to San Diego I am without any plans.

If it is sunny and warm then I may go to Venice or Santa Monica. If not then I may just drive about in my rented motor car and see what Glendale and Pasadena have.

Oh, I know what I am doing tomorrow...I move from Glendale to Burbank as it will be time to switch hotels.

So maybe I will explore the valley a bit, instead.

BK, Adriana, or Cason, if you are up for Indian buffett in Burbank let me know. I am going to scout around for a good place to stuff myself on Thursday.

Hooray! No writing to do tonight, so I'm heading down to bed earlier than the past few nights.

Good night!

Today's classic eBay description department:

FRANCES FARMER
1939 color rotograve from NY Daily News.

12” x 15” newsprint.  Original.  Not a repro.  There are some powdery, scuff marks and thin, white lines in the lower, right corner, against the dark shoulder of the dress. (See image, where area in the photo appears lighter than the actual item because of glare.)
(1939 date for this item is documented because of stories on the reverse side about The News Seventh Annual Beautiful Child Contest, which started in 1932.)

Frances Farmer was a beautiful and tragic actress who peaked in the late 1930s, then declined in the 1940s because of mental illness and alcohol. She was portrayed by Jessica Lange in the 1982 film, “Frances, the Talking Mule.”

On eBay there is currently a signed copy of the Nudie Musical soundtrack LP - the seller says it's signed by me, Cindy Williams, Debbie Shapiro, and Diana Canova.  He's correct on all counts except Cindy - I signed as I sometimes do, with the Bruce above the Kimmel.  He's thinking that I signed it "Bruce" and that what in fact is the Kimmel below is Cindy's signature.  Anyone who's gotten anything from me signed will recognize instantly my last name.  I wrote the seller.

I've been addicted to playing Funeral Quest at filesponge.net
I hope I don't fall too far behind when we go to the desert this weekend.
