Well, you've read the notes, the notes were collectible, and now it is time for you to post until the Hollywood cows come home.

Good Morning!

Well... I'm still up, but will be heading to bed shortly.  Unfortunately, the apartment is very cold right now since the radiators aren't on.  Of course, they'll probably come on around 4:30am like they usually do, but that doesn't do any of us any good between from the hour of 8:00pm when they turn off.  ???  -Although, there was a report on tonight's news about how landlords are required by law to keep the building at a certain minimum temperature - and I'm sure that, right now, we're below that minimum.  We shall see...

Are you calling me a chicken?  I think the last person to call me "chicken" was... Oh, nevermind.

When bk writes of "Richard Hatch," I assume he's talking about this guy:

Looking back at the imdb for THE SINGLE GUY - Was Ernest Borgnine really on only one episode of that show?  I seem to remember him being on more often than that - or maybe I watched his episode several times???

And the word of the day is: VIRAGO!

I found this definition online:

Quote
1. A woman regarded as noisy, scolding, or domineering.

They also had this picture:

Good Morning. Ant is off to an early morning Saturday audition. The garbage trucks are out in force and I'm finishing my morning oatmeal.

That is all.

Good morning, all!  I have a 10 am meeting in Toyland with our mighty office manager Matthew, a wonderful man. We need to get the libretto for the new edition of The Lady Of The Slipper and do some fixes on the Act Thre libretto for Babes In Toyland.

After that, I'm back here for one more round of inventory and sealing more cartons; I finished about 16 yesterday, so there are around 26 to go.

DR MBarnum, thank you for the package this week. I must admit that I'm a bit afraid to put one of the discs in my DVD player!

I must begin the arduous task of defrosting the freezer so we can go shopping tomorrow. Trader Joe's and Western Beef will get my money in the morning.

My next eight post totals-to-date will begin with the numbers 1040.  Appropriate for a tax-office Saturday.  Happily, I won't need to be there the full day - this week, anyway.

A belated Happy Valentine's Day to you all (those who observe, anyway!)

I worked that day, and then came home to lots of treats from my DH.

We have given up on having flowers in the house anymore, because 4 big and energetic cats don't  mix well with flower vases. But Mr. Linton had two dozen red roses waiting, cut short and in a basket---beautiful and cat proof---waiting for me when I got home.

He picked up some things to cook for dinner, and we had the spaghetti that was leftover from our birthday party. (My mom's parnter always makes extra so we can bring some home.) It was delish and we had some nice wine. For dessert, he picked up some dangerously chocolate ganache tarts from our friends at the French bakery, and we each had a huge strawberry dipped in chocolate. Yummmm!

We went for a walk around the neighborhood between dinner and dessert.

My DH also gave me a lovely card, and something I have been coveting since childhood. I have bought a few of them for the kids of friends, but never had one for myself. It is the kind of thing that my parents would have deemed frivolous because it's sort of a one-shot deal; you make the garden and then you throw it away. I always wanted one, but never thought of getting one for myself now that I'm a "grown-up".

I will document the process once i've begun...
