DR Elmore had a piece of art called "Stacks of Boxes." Unfortunately, not every understood it.

OH!

And after I had pondered and absorbed the Art at MoMA - I really can only do a few galleries each time I visit - I headed up to 57th Street to see if Steinway Hall was open, and, lo and behold, they were!  So, I headed on, signed the Guest Book (it's required), and browsed and tinkled a few keys here and there.

And I also may have "stumbled" upon a new avatar or two... ;)

Here's Battlestar Galactica's Richard Hatch in a title bout with champ Ken Norton.  Who won?

I mean if ninety-two year old Ernest Borgnine can show up at nine-thirty and leave at five, why can't Miss Phillips.

I meant to post later this afternoon that I did read about BURN NOTICE. It will start filming its second season of episodes in April and will be back on the air with new episodes in July.

Thank you for the good news!
I too would not like to see any of THE CLOSER cast members leave the show.

I'm afraid I am not a fan of Ernest Borgnine at all. He's fine in supporting roles in FROM HERE TO ETERNITY or JOHNNY GUITAR, but once he became a star, I found him unappealing.

I get MC HALE’S NAVY but what about his Oscar performance in MARTY?

I finished watching PRIDE & PREJUDICE on HD-DVD as I cooked and ate lunch. Had the same effect on me that it usually does: tear-induced joy and pleasure.

I missed which version this is.  I would like to see it in HD.

The people in the room next door to mine are like Hillbillys and they are quite a loud talking bunch (thin walls and connecting door, unfortunately)

Did you request a room change?

And since I was in the neighborhood, I went ahead and stopped the Carnegie Hall box office to inquire about tickets for a couple upcoming recitals and concerts.  Alas, all four of the events I was interested in were completely sold out.  The guy at the box office even started to laugh when my fourth choice came up on the computer as SRO.  Guess that means I'm supposed to go see an opera at The Met instead. ;)

:(

I just checked into buying tickets for AMC's All-Day Oscar Showcase next weekend, but that too is also sold out!  I loved going last year - seeing all five Best Picture nominees back to back with unlimited popcorn and soda too!  I was just talking about this year's nominees with one of my roomies, then realized I had not received any sort of notification for this year's event.  So, I went to check online, and... Ah, well... I may see if there are any passes still left for sale at the theatre themselves.

Just like Georges Seurat.  He never sold a painting during his lifetime, but look how famous he is now.

OH!  That Steve Kanaly!  I thought that name sounded/looked familiar!  -Yes, "Dallas" was "family TV" in the Simbulan household when I was growing up.  ;)

Thanks for the pics, BK - and, DR Adriana Patti too, I guess. :)

I’ve been enjoying the photos and stories from the Ray Court’s show.
Good vibes to Mildred Kornman.

Edi, did you see the first season of DEXTER on Showtime?  I don’t think we get HDNET & will have to settle for watching the first season on CBS.
