They've been all over the map, from 2 to 10!  Unfortunately during the mid day, so I'm going to have to go to work in the morning and then drive home in the middle of it.  :(

Someone should put together a taxi cab company and call it Mary.  It would give "Hailing Mary" a fun, new meaning.

I mean, let's face it, "Hailing Checkers" sounds like someone is calling a cocker spaniel.

You are dating yourself, Woody!
Not really, TCB.  The "Checkers" speech is part of the history books - literally.  I was taught about it back when I was in high school.

(Some things are taught a Burbank High, it turns out.)

I have been doing work on the Nudie Musical script for the last two hours - once I started  I couldn't stop - I've cleaned up all of act one.  I can see that I never got around to doing even the changes I knew I wanted to way back in 2002, like consolidating two characters into one, and making one sequence more musical.  I've done that now.

I think we're going to try and have a reading of Nudie in the next couple of months.

It is a little hard to see but he didn't want to remove the tower in the background.

No, but I wanted to. I also wanted to see MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE.

I'm sure you will figure it out.

I think I have - I have found half-eaten bowls of food; he seems to chow down on what he wants, and the rest 'til later.

I did a little research to come up with the official description of JJ’s marking.  I would say he is a brown patched, or marble, swirled tabby.    I found there are 3 kinds of tabby’s (I knew this just wondered if there was an official name) striped, spotted and swirled.

I would call JJ a "classic tabby", which has the thick stripes and the bullseye pattern on the side, as opposed to the "mackrel tabby", which has the thin stripes.

Our Ociee cat is a classic chocolate tabby, I was told, but her markings are very faint and she now almost looks grey.

Torties are always females. JJ is a tabby.

I thought it was calicos who were always female. Or is that the same as a tortie?

After my company left, I began going through the DVR to watch things recorded over the last day or so. I began with RENO 911. A very funny show this week with some hilarious stuff with Dangle.

That was Gary Wayne Andrews from BOSTON LEGAL playing his brother and Aisha Tyler playing his sister.

I assume they don't over-eat, so I can leave food in the bowl?

Oh, they can over-eat but I don't think you need to worry about your kitty being overweight any time soon!

Next, I watched last night's PROJECT RUNWAY. I was VERY, VERY shocked at the audience favorite. Never would have been the one I would have picked. I did like seeing Michael Kors break that smug stone-face of his during the WWE challenge.

I keep meaning to ask about the cat collar.  Is it a safety collar?

If by "safety" you mean it will break free if the cat gets caught, then no. It was left-over puppy one from Dollar Store and has a relective fabric so the cat can be seen at night.

The collar is so loose that JJ could easily wriggle free if he got caught - I put it on so I could attach a leash and take him out side and prevent him wandering into the marsh.

I do wonder if he has been into some kind of trouble - he seems to have developed a slight limp, but I see nothing wrong with a paw. The basement is filled with all sorts of construction stuff (used cabinets, vanities, micro-waves, dishwashers etc, waiting for a completion of the basement), so he could have gotton caught on something and pulled a muscle. He is not complaining.

I began on the bonus features on the HUMAN GIANT DVD. They are EXTENSIVE! Looks to be about three or four hours' worth of stuff to watch. It's been making me laugh very consistently.

They are both (almost) always female.

I have never seen a male calico or tortie.
