FOR THE HAIL OF IT

Well, you've read the notes, you've said your Hail Marys, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're saying some Hail Farmers and will be here soon.

If you have a handwritten manuscript of a play by Bertolt, is that an echt Brecht?

One of my cats has been bugging me this morning so I got up and she ran into the kitchen. I thought she might be hungry, although I left out plenty of food last night.

Apparently we didn't lock the back door last night after viewing the eclipse and it was wide open!
No wonder it seemed rather cold in the house!

Good morning, all!  My first agenda this morning is a trek to my storage space.  After that, some writing here ad perhaps some affixing of shipping labels to cartons.

My friend Matthew Brookshire is performing tonight in the Village at 7:30, and I want to get get to his show.

I found the PWOJECT WUNWAY reunion its usual shallow self: too many clips - especially of Ricky's endlessly moronic chapeaus, all equally silly - when I'd rather hear the designers talking/bitching.  I did love Michael Kors' WWE design "breakdown"  and I'd even forgotten several of the early designers who had been sent packing.

We watched Ang Lee's Lust, Caution last evening.  I found it very haunting.  But, DR Jane, there is some graphic violence!

Well, and some graphic...other things, as well.  At least, in the NC-17 version.

Well, I shall be heading down to the Studios of Chelsea shortly for another day of Billy Elliot casting.  I know a bunch of people coming in today and tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to the whole process.

I'm supposed to see The Adding Machine with my friend, Chris, tonight, but I've reserved the right to just head out somewhere for dinner after my auditions instead of to the theatre depending upon how my day goes.  Thankfully, he's getting industry comps, so if we don't end up going to see the show tonight, it's not like he'll be out any money.  As always, we shall see.

In other news...

I wonder if PBS sent out a "pre-bleeped" feed of Company last night, or if the bleeping was left up to each local PBS affiliate to handle on their own.

Thursday morning greetings!  No meetings or presentations today and no morning commute weather angst.  I'm looking forward to a day at my desk, getting ready for next week's 3 presentations.  There may be some evening commute weather angst - perhaps my book group won't meet tonight after all?

TOD:

Well, there's that classic 1994 film that DR MBarnum is probably all too familiar with:

Shree Shree Rajadhiraja Shree Shree Madana Kamaraja Shree Shree Vilasa Raja Shree Shree Madhubana Raja Shree Shree Krishnadeva Donga Raja

My favorite film title is Snakes on a Plane - because it instantly gave me the information that I did not want to see this film!
