My sister got scared watching "Lost in Space," so there were no scary shows at our house!
Considering the quality of the Lost in Space scripts, and the acting to go with them, everyone was scared by that show!

Doctor Who fandom refers to these as the "hide behind the sofa" moments.

Der Brucer has started watching A Raisin in the Sun.

I've got meatballs to cook, with tomato sauce and pasta.

It it cheating that I didn't make the pasta myself?   ;)

Sitting in Panera after a horrendous drive out here.  What took a little under forty minutes in pouring rain yesterday, took a little over an hour today.  And the traffic was so STUPID.  You'd be at a total standstill then suddenly you'd be going seventy miles an hour, then thirty seconds later you'd be at a total standstill - has anyone figured out a scientific reason for such things?

So, just to be sure before I write a little missive - there have been at least one example of "too many connections" every day for the past five days, including our thirty minute time out?

When does daylight saving time begin? Or end? Or whatever it is doing in the spring.

It was closer to an hour, in the end...that would have been Thu or Fri, I think.

DR RonP, I think they said the sleeves on Helen Mirren's dress were Swarovski crystals.

Both Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight had Katherine Hiegel's red over the shoulder dress as the #1 Oscar dress.

Cojo on ET had his usual favs: #5 cameron diaz, #4 renee Z, #3 jessica alba, #2 hillary swank.

The only one i agreed with was jessica alba. ANd the #1.

The bests of Access Hollywood were: cate blanchett, nicole kidman, renee z, keri russell (which i liked), marion c's mermaid.

And the worst was:

helen mirren for the sleeves, julie christie for the pink gloves and the supporting actress winner for her garbage bag look.

Cojo had jennifer hudson's as the worst.

I couldn't get onto the net at Brewski's tonight, somebody made internet access password-protected!   >:(

As for the TOD:

I've had the pleasure of seeing many of Hitchcock's films on the big screen at one time or another, even a few of the early British ones.
I was so excited when there was a major re-issue (I'm thinking in the 80s) of THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH, REAR WINDOW, THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY and VERTIGO, and I got to finally see them on the big screen.
That being said, my favorite Hitchcock films are:
VERTIGO
NORTH BY NORTHWEST
REAR WINDOW
SHADOW OF A DOUBT
MARNIE
PSYCHO
THE BIRDS
THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH
TORN CURTAIN

My least favorite Hitchcock films:
TOPAZ
I CONFESS
THE PARADINE CASE
THE WRONG MAN

One of my other all-time favorites (even though it is not as typically Hitchcock) is "Rebecca."

DR RonP, I think they said the sleeves on Helen Mirren's dress were Swarovski crystals.

From Wikipedia:

"Swarovski is the luxury brand name for the range of precision-cut lead crystal glass products produced by companies owned by Swarovski AG of Feldmeilen, near Zürich, Switzerland.

Swarovski was also a sponsor for The Phantom of the Opera (2004 film), in which the "standing model" of the chandelier was composed of Swarovski crystals. A Swarovski shop window is also visible later in the film."

To see a few samples of the cyrstals, or go to Swarovski.com

When I was much younger, while THE BIRDS was being shown on NBC-TV, my father snuck up behind me while Jessica Tandy's character found the farmer and poked me in the ribs!  That was scary!

It was lovely.  I liked the simplicity of the over the shoulder designs.  Most I found too busy.

For a closer look at Helen Mirren’s dress.

For many more of the lovely, and not so lovely, dresses.
