elmore, please give my best to Dick and Oscar.

They send their regards back to you!

I'm back from Toyland and other locales.  On the uptown subway on my way back, I sat directly across from Perry on MAKE ME A SUPERMODEL.  He seemed a bit shy as if afraid to be recognized.

It's a shame that it's (or will be) Sadie Hawkins Day, because I'm DEFINITELY past my prime

DR Singdaw - the department in which I work is also called "Adult Services."

Wasn't that on my VCR?

Does this look like a 60-year old to you?

She looks like Helena Bonham Carter with a bad face lift and wearing my old mop.

Let's sing of Lamarr, that Hedy so fair
Why does she let Joan Bennett wear all her old hair?

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And, yes, it's cold here in NYC on this last day of February in the year 2008.

The end was interesting. So i guess daniel is nuts too! Although how come we haven't seen him passing out?

No.  That was "Services Adults".

That made me laugh!

The neighbor in 2B is moving out today.  Her mother told me she had not only a horrible bed bug infestation but bird mites from all the pigeons hanging out on fire escape, which I've claimed since January is the source of the infestation.

DR MBarnum re: your take on Big brother 9.

It's very interesting to read people's comments who don't read about the feeds.  I think you would be shocked that your nice people: chelsia, james and natalie are really quite pieces of work.

Natalie is good natured and easy going. I will give you that. But she is a bit too free with her body (to say it nicely). She is so needy to have matt like her that she has done some sexual favors for him. But she has also made out with probably every guy in the house! (most of them had a hot tub orgy a few nights ago).

I find chelsia and james pretty gross. It's hard to think that sometimes when they seem so nice on tv. But chelsia has made numerous horrific comments about amanda killing herself by noose. And james is a porn star. It's so funny that they make him out to be a sweet hero. He is not too nice in the house. :(

Well, you can't blame Natalie...if I were cooped up in a house 24/7 with Matt, I would (in my dreams) be doing the same thing!  8)

As for James, being a porn star (well, he isn't really a star...it was only amateur stuff) doesn't make one a bad person...I am sure there are many very nice porn actors and actresses in the world...I wouldn't say he comes across as sweet on the show...he is cunning and playing the game very well and he is kind of fun.

I just like Chelsia's hair..she is a pretty gal.

As for the Friday Media Check:

Radio: WQXR.  -Although, I keep meaning to give a listen to WNYC sometime too.

CD Player:
"Debussy: Complete Works for Piano, Vol. 2" - Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, pianist - I can't wait for the final two installments in his series. Some truly wonderful, intelligent and beautiful playing.

The Little Mermaid - OCR

"Ask Me Again" - Nancy Lamott

"Backwoods Barbie" - Dolly Parton

"Just A Little Lovin'" - Shelby Lynne - My most played CD this week!  This is a tribute album to Dusty Springfield, however, the covers are far from note for note, arrangement for arrangement copies of the original. Shelby Lynn's voice is big and powerful, but she never overpowers the material.  In fact, she's reined herself in for most of the set.  She's backed for most of the tracks by a five piece band, sometimes even less, with stretches of her singing a cappella every now and then - no lush strings, no horn sections, but every bit as effective as they are notably different from the originals .  (Go Phil Ramone!)  Her rendition of "Anyone Who Had A Heart" has easily become my favorite alongside Dusty Springfield's (of course).

Is there any talk of any sort of legal action against/towards(?) the property manager/owner?

Hello all, it has been a very busy few weeks with a trip to california, a trip to boston, and several trips to the bathroom courtesy of a stomach virus.

But I am back!

I got to meet my new niece Zoey June. She is absolutely adorable and a very good baby, already on a routine. My sister looked great, she is taking very well to motherhood. I expected to find her at the very least flustered or tired but she looks gorgeous and has her routine down.

Whilst in California, I also got to attend the west coast 1st birthday celebration for my good friends, Johnny and Todd's daughter Cassie. They are currently her foster parents but are in the process of finalizing the adoption.

Then this past weekend I went to boston for her east coast party. It was there that I contracted a stomach bug- not an enjoyable way to do a four hour drive back to NYC, I can tell you.
