Off to finish work on the Director's Handbook.  You wouldn't believe the number of suggestions and changes I've gotten from the people I have been emailing for suggestions and changes since I sent them the "final" version.

Hi folks,

Just poping in to say "Hello".

I had to give up the bed idea--for now.

I went to the doctor today and even though I'm on the meds to keep me from getting kidney stones, I was told I have them again.  Which means another sound surgery.  Not bad but I will have to take 2 days off from work.

That means I'm also out for going to the wedding in July.  I won't have enough time on the books to go.

Sigh.  I can't believe what a health nightmare I've become.  It's always SOMETHING and I'm getting so tired of it.

I still haven't gotten the results from the other week when I had that reaction to what ever it was.

Sigh.

~~~Vibes for Danise!!~~~
Not funky, however they are new.  The second pair didn't photograph much differently....I need a new photographer.
Thanks for all of the kind thoughts and vibes.
I like the new glasses on Cilla and JRand.  However, I don't think I could go back to them.
Thanks Danise!  I'm basically afraid to get the surgery and my eyes get too tired for contacts... so I'm pretty much a glasses wearer for life.
Thanks Danise!  I'm basically afraid to get the surgery and my eyes get too tired for contacts... so I'm pretty much a glasses wearer for life.
I understand about being afraid of the surgery.  My old eye doctor told me that since I'm a -8 that the very best I could hope for if everything went 100% right is to be corrected to a -4.  Good news?  Well, at -4 I'd still have to wear glasses!
That doctor retired and the new doctor was gung ho for me to do the surgery.  When I asked him if the above was true, he never mentioned anything about having it done again..
As for tonight's "American Idol"...
Some contestants played it safe.
Some contestants were much better this week.
Some contestants finally "broke through" this week.
One contestant made a very, very, very smart song choice.
And one or two contestants were brilliant, imho
I have just been told by Microsoft that the problem we are encountering in upgrading the kids' XBox Live account is completely peculiar, and has no explanation, and that it will need to be "escalated" to "the highest corporate levels."  I therefore expect to be quitting my job as I will soon be a bribed paid consultant to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
(At least this guy spoke English.  Praise the Lord).
I thought most Indians spoke English!      ;)
I'm cleaning out my books, paperbacks for now.  I'm beginning with prolific authors and making a list of their books I have read.  Since I still don't have, them all, or know where they are, I'm finding it difficult to figure out which ones I have read or not.  At the moment I'm working on Dean Koontz.
I found I still haven't read a couple of Sue Harrison's last trilogy, plus she had completed another novel, THE CLOTH, which wasn't published.  I don't know what happened to it.
The highest corporate levels of Microsoft?  Wow!  Maybe you can ask them why Vista won't work with my USB6600 scanner.
I've got news for you--Vista doesn't work with any scanner.   ;D
I gave up on Koontz, now I'm working on Maeve Binchy.  I should have done this years ago, before my memory started to leave me.  Not only don't I remember ALL the details of every book I have read, I can't remember which books I have read. ::)
