Indeed it is, DR JoseSPiano!  Courtesy of The New York Times website.

What a shame that the Bernstein Estate won't consider allowing anyone to revisit the original material...

Yes, Lucy Lawless is absolutely terrifying.

Good morning!

Woke up to a rainy Monday, and surprise, surprise (a Gomer Pyle reference), we're supposed to have rain every day this week except Wednesday. April showers indeed!

TV Reminder:

CBS slate is all new including CSI: MIAMI which begins a two-part episode tonight (which concludes tomorrow night in the JERICHO timeslot). OLD CHRISTINE has its season finale as part of the line-up, too.

Wonder if any review copies will find themselves on my doorstep today? This is the longest break I've had between review copies in many months.

I will have JOHN ADAMS and DIRT! to watch today. No, I didn't record COLD CASE. I was already recording two other programs and had to watch COLD CASE in HD over-the-air "live" or not at all. And since the show doesn't issue DVD sets (music rights astronomical), my best bet is to hope to catch a rerun this summer.

I still have one more Lubitsch musical to watch - ONE HOUR WITH YOU, so that will likely be what I watch later this afternoon or early this evening before my prime time line-up begins.

And the word of the day is: XENOPHOBIA!

At Yom Kippur services many years ago here at the biggest synagogue in town, we were going through the litany of things for which we needed to repent, among which, as some here may know, is xenophobia.  Suddenly this old woman next to me turned and said in a very loud voice, "What's xenophobia?"  It was very funny.

This lady just had one of those "shrill, loud, old people voices" and it totally cracked me up.  Which of course did not prevent me from giving her a concise and salient definition of the word.   ;D

I've finished up my internet surfing for the morning and am ready to head down (a bit earlier than usual) to check the mail, and then clean up for lunch out with best friend John.

The latest edition of Michael Ruhlman's blog is covering butterscotch, including a link to another blog where a guest blogger gives a recipe.

Ruhlman's suggestion on using the sauce on French toast gives me an idea for dinner Saturday night - I won't be getting off work until ten, and will need something quick to put in der Brucer's tum-tum.
