So, as for "American Idol"....

Are they really going to send someone home this week?  Didn't they not send someone home during the "Idol Gives Back" week last yet?  -Just to keep with the spirit of the week.

Last year, the elimination for the week was set to be at the end of the telethon. Producers decided that it would break the spirit of the event to end on such a down note, so it was delayed, and the the following week two people were sent home.

This year, Fox built in an extra elimination episode, so the feel-good vibes from tonight shouldn't be disturbed.

At the same time, they may surprise everyone and not send someone home tomorrow night either. We'll see.

Good morning!

Beautiful day here with the bluest sky we've had in many days. Going to be in the 70s today and tomorrow, too, so that's nice.

I will not be watching IDOL GIVES BACK tonight. I plan to watch some movies both this afternoon and this evening, but what as yet has not been decided.

I am reality series-out! After COLLEGE HILL INTERNS and A SHOT AT LOVE, I don't want to see any more of these contrived elimination shows.

It was all I could do to watch IDOL last night, and watching it out of real time allows me to see the entire show in about 25 minutes. That's about all my constitution can stand any more.

Speaking of a DVD for EVENING PRIMROSE, who owns the rights to it now? ABC? Sondheim?

I never thought we'd see a commercial recording of the Julie Andrews CINDERELLA, but we finally did get it. Surely EVENING PRIMROSE would look better than that (though admittedly, it is much less famous to the general public).

Matt H, you will be glad to know that Jason O'Mara is a cast member in the new TNT series: TRUTH IN ADVERTISING, starring Tom Cavanagh and Eric McCormack as employees of a big ad firm. Griffin Dunne, one of my faves, is another co-star, along with Monica Potter (BOSTON LEGAL) and Sarah Clark (24).

It's written and produced by THE CLOSER team, so it should be good!

ACCESS HOLLYWOOD did their story on our CLOSER spots last night, but I was still working and missed it. Now that it has run, the spots should be showing up on-air soon.

JRand, I forgot to mention but my DH and I did light a candle Monday night (3 actually) and sat out on the back porch, listening to the owls, looking at the moon and thinking of you and Miss Blue Moon.

TRUTH IN ADVERTISING.....is it set in present day or is it set in the 60's?

Seems to be sort of a MAD MEN clone.....

Good morning, everyone.

I have a question for DR TCB:
You mentioned the other day that drinking cranberry juice helped you. Could you provide some specifics, pls? What changes did you notice, did you drink the cranberry/apple blend, how often, and how long before you noticed improvement? And anything else useful to us.

thanks.

The Crank

I was glad to read that it helped DR TCB, but cranberry juice did nothing for mine. After I had my first one, X-rays revealed I had no more (then) in my kidneys. The doctor put me on a specific meat/fish diet and with cranberry juice as my drink of choice.

Within two years, I had several more stones (and have since passed three more).

I think it's all involved with a person's physiological make-up and has very little to do with what he eats or drinks.

When I have a bit more time, I'll give a brief update of the thesis project and it's progress. Let's just say it's been an experience so far .... (wanting to be a director -- what was I thinking?!)
