BROKEN RECORD

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were like a broken record, and now it is time for you to post until the broken cows come home - they're currently broken in Hoboken.

Question for BK: I wanted to ask you about JEEVES -- the original Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, and not the revised version BY JEEVES. This is one of my all-time favorite scores, and I was wondering if you'd ever heard it and what you thought about it.

Yesterday, I had thought of a question to ask today, but I've totally forgotten it. :-\

Well, you know the two worst things about getting older, right? The first is the loss of memory; I can't recall the second thing.

I've heard that too, but I can't remember the second thing, either. ::)

Yesterday, I posted this:
Quote
I got an e-mail through Classmates.com, saying I had a message.  But I would have to join and pay just to find out who it was from!  They wouldn't even tell me that for free. :P

Well, the e-mail that I got said this:
Quote
Hi George,

1 person signed your guestbook yesterday! Can you guess who they are?

When I clicked on the link to go to Classmates.com, this is what I get:
Quote
These people visited your profile and left their names:
Name                                                    Date
Upgrade to see who this is                       03/19/2008
Upgrade to see who this is                       07/05/2007

So, I would have to pay just to find out who signed "my" guestbook and what they said. :P

I've always enjoyed the score, especially Half A Moment, which I recorded with Laurie Beechman.

Laurie was the narrator from JOSEPH who succumbed to cancer, is that correct?

I didn't know you recorded Half a Moment. That's such a great song.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And so are the ConEd workers who started their jackhammers right at 7:00am this morning - my alarm went off at 7:00, and a split second later the jackhammers started outside my window.  No snooze alarm for me this morning.  -Although, it's awfully quiet now outside... Hmm....

-Although, broken cassettes always made me laugh - at least until I had to snap off the front of the player and start unwinding all the tape that had caught up in all those capstans(?) and gears.

I've always thought some of those Classmates.com/Reunions.com/etc.com e-mails were SPAM.  It just doesn't make sense to me to have to pay for information that someone else sent to me "freely".  And just how could I have a guestbook, if I've never registered for the site in the first place.  Yes, I know they scour for yearbooks and collate all the info, but that's not the same thing as if I registered myself.  -Right?

So, as for "American Idol"....

Are they really going to send someone home this week?  Didn't they not send someone home during the "Idol Gives Back" week last yet?  -Just to keep with the spirit of the week.

And as for "Hell's Kitchen"...

Frankly, I would not trust or hire any of the current contestants to be my executive chef for my new restaurant in Los Angeles.  Although, since the current season wrapped up months ago - the finale was already filmed here in NYC at Gordon Ramsay at the London - I'm guessing that would provide a couple of extra months to get the winner "in shape" for such a position.
