I'm up!  I was really tired last night.  i have to say both IN THE HEIGHTS and AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY were really good.

DR Ben, you were right, my family is no where near THAT dysfunctional.  Actually during the second intermission I heard a women in the audience say..."Wow, I was thinking that MY family was bad. This changes those thoughts completely".

Sunday morning greetings!  It's my one-day weekend and I'm getting ready to accompany DH Richard to church in Cincinnati.  He's officiating at Morning Prayer today.

Congratulations to The Brain3!!!

Good morning, all! I slept later than I should and I'm now running late to meet my drummer friend Chris for brunch at Popovers.

I'm happy to hear of the Brain's success last night.

More later.

Going to be a lovely day today.

Of course all of Indiana is a dither because our PRIMARY usually is just a rubber stamp for what has gone before, but some pundits are saying we count this time....we really really count.  Time will tell.

Lots of commercials are being played - and paid for no doubt (television radio ads must be paid for in advance, you know) - so we shall see.

I don't have much confidence that my choice will prevail in Indiana - or at the convention for that matter, politics being what they are - but I will just say that for the first time, I am voting in the OTHER primary.

I am bathed, dressed and heading off to Popovers.  Thank you again, DR FJL and Skip, for such a wonderful soiree yesterday evening. Ido believe the best salon in Manhattan may be found at 43rd and 10th.

And for all you Philistines out there, I said salon and not saloon!

It was most enjoyable also to read the names of the cast/crew members in the Chance Production of THE BRAIN FROM PLANET EX (no royalties, no payment to the director) - and put those names to the faces in the faux-toes.

If, as predicted, Clinton wins - no impact on the race.

If Obama wins, major impact to Clinton chances.

Most pundits are actuslly going to be looking at the combined Indiana/North Carolina popular vote - Clinton needs to top Obama to stay alive.

It seems the Democrats are heading for a total train wreck: if the Superdelgates give the nomination to Clinton, a sufficient number of Obama supporters will sit out the General to allow Mc Cain to win; if they give Obama the nod, the Democrats will lose a large number of Regan Democrats in key battleground states to again give McCain a victory.

I do not think 08 is the time for the Republicans to win the Presidency, but it is looking like it is a time for a Democrats to lose it.

Cilla -  Thanks so much for the delicious-smelling soaps.  We love all of them, but the "honey oatmeal" seems particularly apt for HHW people.  We both oohed and aahed over them - they will be used with much enjoyment.

To repeat what others have said, we had a wonderful time at Fred and Skip's last night. Great food, great company and great conversation. The men folk, and Miss Julie, stayed after Lois and Cilla left for their theatrical engagements and we talked and talked and talked. I must see Glory Days if just to be able to take sides with Julie or Fred  ;)

Fred, Ant is very glad you liked the card. It's his newest creation.

There was no Red Velvet Cake picture from Friday (at Chat and Chew) because Cilla didn't have her camera out but, Jane, it did have wonderful cream cheese frosting.

And, as Jose said earlier, in the photo from last night, Mr. Anthony took the picture. He said since he doesn't post that he would take the picture.

All in all it was great fun. Thanks again to Fred and Skip and to everyone else for being such great people.

Good morning!

A bright, fresh morning with a cool air about it. It's warming up to near-80 today, but the morning is very pleasant.

Good morning, DR Cillaliz!  Sounds like you're having a great time in NYC - wish I were there with you!

Me too!  My only regret is that my time here is way too short.  I need to win the lottery so I can make my next trip a lot longer

Glad you like them and thanks again for the wonderful get together.  I loved having the soaps in my hotel room, they made the room smell sooo good.

Same feelings here in North Carolina which also has the feeling of MATTERING for the first time in ages. Don't know how things will shake up, but the numbers participating in early voting have been phenomenal.

I bought the soaps at a booth near the Tribeca Film Festival. Here's the website if you like them.
