That's funny; I just finished re-reading it this afternoon in preparation for starting in on the new sequel!   :)

The only thing missing in the sequel is Martha Stewart!

Well, I wasted my morning spent time watching the Lincoln Center South Pacific, sure I could discover some evidence it was not the train wreck others had observed.

Such was not the case.

And now I'm off to wherever I'm going to head off to.  -The May Gray seems to have burned off for the afternoon, and since I'm so near the Griffith Park Observatory, hmm...  -Although, I think I may just hike up there on Tuesday when the crowds are more manageable.  We shall see...

THE ATLANTIC-ANDREW SULLIVANder Brucer

I will be very shocked indeed if David Archleta wins it. And I like him. But he's not NEARLY ready to hold a stage for an entire concert. David Cook is and the audience knows it.

I began my afternoon watching Thursday night's CSI.

I didn't like it. Obviously the writers were drawing on their CYBIL experience since the two main sitcom characters resemble Shepard and Baranski so much. But the plot wasn't interesting, everyone from series regulars to guest stars were so smug, and the comedy just didn't ring true to the show.

TWO AND A HALF MEN definitely came out the winner in this switch-up.

Thursday night's SMALLVILLE was also a very interesting show leading to a great showdown for the season finale. Should be very interesting to see what happens with Lex.

I just read that Fox has canceled BACK TO YOU (the Kelsey Grammer/Patricia Heaton comedy) despite it having ratings superior to 'TIL DEATH (which got renewed). Supposedly, the show was too expensive with those two Emmy winning stars to warrant another season at such an exorbitant cost.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM!!!  Have a good dinner, wish I could be there.  Speaking of dinner, time for me to put the rice in with the roast.

I went to an estate sale today and bought a little side table that I didn't need...but it was half price, making it only 2.50, and it was very 1950s and it fit in the trunk of my car, so I said to myself..."why not?"

I then went to a second estate sale at a very large two story home...Jim and I waited in line...there were about 15 people total in line when they opened not one second before 10 am...then they would only let 5 people in at a time so that it would not get too crowded...in a large 2 story house????

After making the other ten of us wait about ten minutes, and seeing that the line was not going to get any longer they decided we all could go in.

It was the second day of the sale...nothing was discounted.

After going through the entire two stories Jim and I were about to leave when I noticed a bathroom door that had a sign that said "No admittance." I was very curious about the house as it was for sale and was a fixer upper, so I was most curious to see if this  bathroom needed as much work as the upstairs bathroom did...so I opened the door just to peek in....then the cashier guy yelled at me VERY loudly saying "When it says no admittance, it means no admmittance." I humbly apologized saying that I just was curious how the bathroom looked (which was full of just empty cardboard boxes, by the way) and he then yelled at me again, angrily, to ask first next time.

Of course if I had asked I am certain he would have said no.

There are three estate sale companies in town...two of them have very bad attitudes and not very good customer service skills.

And as Larry will (frequently) point out to me...I am not always the best speller when I am typing...as I usually forget to go back and proof read...however, in the grand scheme of things world wide, spelling is not on my list of most important human qualities...

...I am very thankful for spell check, however.

I? I? I'm more concerned about your compulsion to stick your nose in places that clearly tell you in print to butt out.

I'm at my sister's now, waiting to go to the Seattle Storm women's baskeball pre-season game.  It starts at 7:00 pm, but we need to get there before then to get a good parking space.
