For example, Aesop's Androcles and Ally Ally Oxen Free don't really count.

LOL DR Laura.

I have had breakfast and recovered from hiking this morning.  I need to stop procrastinating and clean the house before the day is gone.

I remember trying to watch THE INVADERS when it was on, I think on Tuesday nights, but it just didn't hold my interest....I would be interested to see if it would today.  I wanted monsters and spaceships from start to finish in my sci fi television shows.....

I remember that Joan Crawford was asked by Merv Griffin during an interview who of the actors working today did she consider had the "it" that had made Clark Gable a star.  Joan answered that there was only one and that was:  Roy Thinnes.

There are spaceships and ray guns (to a limited extent), but the monsters look jsut like us, so it is SUBDUED to say the least.

I know it has a cult following. The drama is OK, but there are lots of logic lapses. TV drama today is SO much better.

Somehow, my Agnes Ayers (a silent movie actress) got left off derBrucer's compilation.

DR Jose, re: DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES.

I did not say it was a spoiler to say something would happen at the end of the season finale.

What i said was a spoiler, was that Teri Hatcher gave away the major rumor/story change. To me that was a huge spoiler. And I guess i just don't get why anyone would want to spoil it for anyone who doesn't like to be spoiled.

So knowing what you knew, did it REALLY spoil anything? Was your enjoyment of those three minutes any less than if you didn't know it was coming.

I don't understand it, but, then, I never have.

I had time this afternoon to watch the remaining three episodes of THE INVADERS.

The first was a tense story about an alien masquerading as an astronaut. Pretty good story. John Ericson played the alien, and Peter Graves, Strother Martin, and Kent Smith were also in the episode.

The second episode had a big guest star cast, too, with Burgess Meredith, Julie Sommers, Edward Asner, and Peggy Lipton. The alien's kidnap David's brother and hold him for ransom. Interesting twist on the usual story.

And the final episode involved David stumbling on a list of the "head" aliens established in each of Earth's major countries of power. Ralph Bellamy, Marlyn Mason, and Murray Hamilton were the guests.

I did skim though AS THE WORLD TURNS, but no Luke or Noah. They're in tomorrow' show, however, with Col. Mayer!

When I go back down, there is an interview with Roy Thinnes. There's the one hour original pilot of the show, and there are some network promos.

Not much in the way of bonuses, but better than JAG which had nothing.

Did you "gather" while you were there?  Or was it too hot to gather?

It's an odd Monday.

I don't know why.

Back from lunch.

For the rest of the afternoon, I think I'll be "Swingin' the Jinx Away".

Better late than never, eh?  Most folks clean the house before the day arrives.

That way, the day has no reason to form untoward opinons of your housekeeping.

But it can't have been too bad.  If it had been, day would never have stayed very long.

That was an odd post.

I hope DR Jane finds the humor I intended there to be in it.
