Good Afternoon!
Well... I had a very good time playing auditions for
Grey Gardens today. And, as it turned out, I had a very good/interesting time
reading for
Grey Gardens. The company/producer was short a "reader" for today's auditions, so I got to step in the shoes of Little Edie/Edith/Christine Ebersole/Mary Louise Wilson throughout the course of the afternoon. Consequently/subsequently, not only did I get to play for at least one Tony winner, five Tony nominees, at least one Grammy winner, and a slew of other venerable Ladies of the Theatre, I got to read opposite them too! -And I think I even managed to come up with a semi-decent - albeit sometimes there, sometimes not there - New England accent. -I was born in Boston, ya know.

*And I have to say, having to play for
and read opposite Mary Louise Wilson's understudy was quite intimidating.
