If he stopped smoking, he could probably afford new shoes.

But you'd still take his phone number either way, wouldn't you?    ;)

I have four more episodes of THE INVADERS to watch. Well, three episodes plus the complete pilot (which was cut down from an hour for broadcast).

How many minutes did they have to cut for the broadcast?

I understand that.  I have a terrible time finding shoes that don't hurt, so I mostly wear my Saucony Hurricane Grid running shoes.  There is no surgery that can help my problem.  I hope you will be cured.

No, Ginny will never be cured.  She will always be that sweet and delightful person that we know and love.

So, I got a disgruntled and accusatory e-mail from an Evening Primrose customer.  This guy had written me back on 4/29 saying he hadn't received his copy (he pre-ordered on 4/7).  Since I'd had not one person say they hadn't gotten theirs (out of over 1000), I was surprised - but that very day I sent him another copy.  Today he says he hasn't gotten that one either.  I told him I was done sending out copies, and I refunded his money immediately.  I also told him rather than writing me snippy e-mails he might want to have a little discussion with both his mail carrier and his local post office, since both copies obviously were either stolen or misplaced by them - IF he's telling the truth.  I would by once that a package could be lost or stolen, but twice - not me, I'm afraid.  Just doesn't ring true.  I probably should have done delivery confirmation on the resent one, then there'd be no not knowing the story.

But, since he hasn't responded to my last e-mails or thanked me for the refund, I'm marking the guy as the problem - I just don't believe two copies to the same person have gone astray, it's that simple.

Thanks, Sing, Jane, and Ginny. I really hadn't considered a For Sale by Owner, but perhaps I should. I had hoped to just delegate it, but my agent has been doing an excellent job of someone else's listing (and neglecting mine). I will interview a few other agents, then decide.

Jeanne, you might consider one of those agents who guarantee to sell your hosue in 120 days or they have to pay you some kind of bonus.  A friend just got a $1,200.00 gift certificate to Costco because their time ran out.  Still, she said, they were far more motivated than her previous agent.

Quite a good list, I think.  Not as fruitful as BB or MM, but fun nonetheless.

The weather person on the radio loudly proclaimed that cooler days were coming, starting today.  That person is sorely in need of another profession - cooler days?  It's over 100 today.

Gee, BK, what happened to your rules about not posting another name until someone else had posted one?

The Parker Brothers never played by the rules either.

That was an odd post.

I hope DR Jane finds the humor I intended there to be in it.

Yes, it was an odd post ;) ;D

And yet there is some truth to what you say, I would rather clean before the day arrives.

Why all this has reminded me I need to take a trip to the mailbox I have no idea.  But a trip to the mailbox I must take-after I clean some spots out of our bedroom carpet.

TCB - Actually, SLUG BEARERS OF KAYROL ISLAND got quite a few rather excellent reviews, including from the New York Times.
