PUB URINAL COMPUTER GAMES LAUNCHED
From correspondents in Brussels
May 20, 2008 12:50am

TWO Belgian beer fans have launched a video game named Place to Pee, which allows players to fly down ski slopes or kill aliens while relieving themselves at urinals.

Werner Dupont, a software developer and Bart Geraets, an electrical engineer, got the idea while drinking beers.

The Place to Pee' booth is designed for two users at a time and offers two games - blowing up aliens in outer space or skiing down a virtual slope.

Gamers hit their target by aiming at sensors positioned on either side of the urinal.

A specially designed paper cone allows women to play too, the inventors say.

Their Place to Pee logo resembles Manneken Pis, the little urinating boy fountain that is among Brussels' top sightseeing attractions.

I had no need to check DialIdol. He's been leading for the last month or two, and as was written earlier, nothing that happened last night was going to make any difference in people's allegiances.

I also don't buy that people who supported one eliminated singer will shift their alliances to another. In years past, when my favorites were eliminated before the final round (Melinda Doolittle, Elliott Yamin), I simply stopped voting all together. I suspect others disappointed with the outcomes do the same.

Yep, it's a season finale night for sure in the TV Reminders:

LAW & ORDER

CSI: NY

BOSTON LEGAL

CRIMINAL MINDS

and, of course, the two-hour IDOL results show

On tap today for me, a fun day of Blu-ray with BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD and likely THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW (which will feature a tremendous DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack).

We are having some weather blow through town, which will bring some relief from the heat. For a few days.

Since the vote totals seem to remain high, do you suspect that "drop-outs" just leave more room for fan-atics to call in more?

I do go out very early in the morning -- Monday and Tuesday I was out of the house at 4 a.m. Today I slept in -- until 6 a.m.

With the cool breeze blowing (85 degrees), DH and I walked a couple of miles to mail some bill payments.

And how do you spell "relief" where you live - the nineties?

Goodness - you need a pony.

Or considering your clime, perhaps a camel would do.

Note: if you had a camel if could be part of the Church Christmas pageant

Possibly. It's also strange that the vote totals have soared this season which is the lowest rated on record for the show. It gives one pause. . . .

Don't the French call crab lice "papillon d'amour", translated as "butterfly of love"? Those french are so poetic!

DR Laura, don't go "seraching" for them!

So long Larry.

That sounds like a title of something. Not the kind of title for Larry's Friday VCR masterpieces, but a title, nonetheless.

It sounds like the title of a ballad from the second act of a musical called "Mike Does New York."  It's sung by the title character, Mike, as he packs his bags, removes his bedding from Larry's fire escape, and hopes in a taxi to relocate to a loft in Tribeca that he plans on sharing, indefinitely, with a young Sikh seeking fame and fortune on Broadway.

 ;)

The wrong person won Big Brother.

The wrong person won Biggest Loser:Couples.

The wrong person won Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites.

The wrong person won Project Runway.

Why on earth would the "right" person win "American Idol"?

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I feel like I slept well, but I did keep waking up every hour or so, and I also had a bunch of strange dreams too, so... ???

-Maybe I should go back and read that article that DR DerB posted?

In other news... I really do hope that the weather warms back up to normal this weekend.  When the temps dipped a few days ago, so did my sinuses.  I'm not "drippy", just "heady" right now.
