A FINE TOOTH COMB
« on: May 21, 2008, 12:31:05 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, you went through the notes not only with a tooth comb but a fine tooth comb, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently looking for a fine MOOth comb.

And here is the cover of my new novel - I couldn't remember if I'd said anything about the book, but this should tell you all you need to know.  The jacket spine is included since the image "wraps around".  Hope everyone likes.

Colors are not quite accurate - a bit more blue in the sky, but it's close.  This is the second time I lucked out with a photo.  For the first book, I took photos of Hollywood High School, and there just happened to be a police car in front of the school.  And how incredible was it that there was police tape in front of The Grove when I snapped this photo?

Welcome eight GUESTS.  Have you noticed that George is just sitting there like a dead herring in the moonlight?

Not anymore.  I'm also watching Craig Ferguson.  I think he's pretty funny.

Before yesterday's day of posts was closed off, I was writing a post about something that TCB had written.  But then the day changed here on the board and I lost the post. :P I hate it when that happens.

DR TCB - you promised you wouldn't tell about the buggy whips!!!

Apologies re: the South Pacific special link.  I was at work, so couldn't test it.  And I relied on what someone had written on one of the chat boards - that implied it was a link to the full special.  It wasn't!  Sorry.

Did anyone see the Mary Tyler Moore show cast reunion on Oprah this past Monday?  I missed it.   :(

Never mind!  I discovered that you can order the transcript on her website.

DR Michael S - I don't know anything about the movie - I only posted the cover shot because it was Tuesday.  But it is available on DVD, as of yesterday.  :)

And the word of the day is: LUCULLAN!
"Drizella, where have you been?" demanded Lady Tremaine.  "Just look at you!  Your dress is covered with cream puff filling, marshmallow fluff and gravy!  Your hair is filled with flowers and and beads and... is that a real diamond?  What have you been up to?"

"Why, I've been on a date with Lou Cullan, Mother."  Drizella smiled as she passed the grey-haired dame, and left everything else to her imagination.

DR Elmore - South Pacific is the main reason Richard and I have planned a late-summer trip to NYC.  Let's talk when you're here about seeing it together, OK?

Work has been less than fun these past few days. I won't go into detail, suffice it to say I'm looking forward to the brief Memorial Day weekend. We will be on Long Island for said weekend and I will return to the the city on Monday, May 26.

I didn't know about the MTM Oprah show until late Monday afternoon when I turned on the television and saw the last few minutes. I then set the VCR to tape the show from Channel 55, a Long Island station on our cable system. They show Oprah at 7pm. We were at the theatre that night so I taped the show but haven't yet watched it. We don't have a way of transferring video to DVD so I can't make a copy for you Sing, sorry.
