I'm not a blonde!

Can you prove it?  And if you have to ask how - you're a blond!

They were talking about Treasure Trails on All that Chat yesterday.  Specifically the waxing of same on Matthew Morrison in South Pacific.

One of the most popular [and hilarious] threads in recent memory!   :)

Or, if you have some glow-in-the-dark paint you could play twister!

Any body remember the nightmare when US stations tried to go metric in the seventies?

Nope sorry, derBrucer, we are all far younger than you!

GUSTAVE CAILLEBOTTE

Gustave Caillebotte (goos-TAWV kye-BAWT) (1848-1894) was a wealthy Parisian engineer who was one of the big shakers and movers of French Impressionism - his stuff is often called "Urban Impressionism".

Hmm, and probably about the right age for MBarnum!

I just came across this...it's pretty cool:

Melissa Gilbert cast in 'Little House' musical.

Well, I'm off to usher for...something...at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts.  I don't remember what the performance is. ::) So, I set my DVR to record "Lost."  I'll watch it as soon as I get home.

Until later!

Today, I got two CDs featuring Elmar Oliveira, plus "The Red Balloon" DVD from Criterion.

I am not trying to be a smart ass, but who is Elmar Oliveira?

Ooo...I just noticed that I'm very, very near a plateau.

But it must wait.

Cillaliz, I believe that is a fire truck.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to you storm-wise.
I am very afraid of midwest spring/summer weather. It's worse than heat!
Scary but exciting too. I was in a tornado when I was little. Well, it was across the lake from us, but I saw it.  It was amazing. Right now there is a tornado northwest of us. It's going to the Northeast so we'll miss that one. So far nothing in Sioux City.
I do have one cat carrier already in the basement and the other at the top of the stairs next to the flashlight and my purse ready to go downstairs if I need to. It feels like tornado weather today. Someone is going to get it, just hope it's not here
You know, it's a whole lot different than it used to be.  The radar is so much better. You used to just have to turn on the radio and they relied on spotters. When a tornado is in a rain curtain, you can't always see it and at night, you have to look in the light of the lightning to see the tornado.  It was a lot harder to know when to take shelter.
Now, with NOAA weather radios, dopler radar on tv etc,  most of the time you know when to take shelter.
DR Cillaliz - does your city have warning sirens, too?
Please take care.
BK, if you just type "Caillebotte" in at amazon.com, you'll see several.
Also, art-wise, I collect images of women reading.  Here are some of my favorites:
