I do plan to watch THE MOLE tonight. When it first premiered, it was my favorite reality show. It came on initially during my last year of teaching, and trying to guess the identity of The Mole occupied my team of teachers for weeks on end. We even bet lunch out for the team on the results.
Not only that, but I was so enraptured by the series that I applied for being cast in the second season of episodes. There was a 10-page application form plus you had to submit a two minute videotape "interview" to let the producers get to know you. I thought it would be a great way to spend my first year of retirement (like THE AMAZING RACE, the show moved from country to country during its various rounds).
Obviously, I wasn't selected, but what's funny is that they DID select a man who almost matched my stats perfectly - single man in his late 40s, a teacher on the verge of retirement. (Ironically, he was the first one eliminated in the first episode of the show.)
