NYC HHW-ers alert:  I have told a Pops choir member of mine who is venturing to NYC for her first time this summer to join the Forum here and get your advice on what to see, where her best bets for getting autographs, etc., might be.  So be nice.   ;D

Good morning!

Beautiful morning here, again just cool enough to have everything opened up and fresh air all around. Looks to be a very warm day, however.

Last night bk, in writing about the upcoming film production of NINE wrote:

"However, if he IS actually signed, I have a bet with someone on the ATC board and if I've lost I'm donating ten bucks to BC/EFA.  We shall see.  Mr. Marshall has said this film was going into rehearsal in a month on about six occasions."

Of course, I have no idea what's really going on in regard to this, but TO BE FAIR, there have been at least three setbacks that I know about:

1. Javier Bardem leaving the production: you can't do NINE without a Guido.

2. The writers' strike which brought preproduction to a halt on a number of films in preproduction.

3. The death of Anthony Minghella who was doing the final rewrite on the script.

Spoo! I typed the name backwards: It's George Gordon.

This is what I'm listening to: the beautiful Nicky Nancel as Paris and Andre Battedou, who appears equally beautiful, as Paris, although I fear Mr Battedou will never be high in the ranks as really good tenor.

Today I';ll be starting on my next TV box set: HAWAII FIVE-O, the 4th season of the show. I enjoyed watching the third season set, so this should be pleasurable. (Let's face it, James MacArthur at this time of his life was really HOT!)

I do plan to watch THE MOLE tonight. When it first premiered, it was my favorite reality show. It came on initially during my last year of teaching, and trying to guess the identity of The Mole occupied my team of teachers for weeks on end. We even bet lunch out for the team on the results.

Not only that, but I was so enraptured by the series that I applied for being cast in the second season of episodes. There was a 10-page application form plus you had to submit a two minute videotape "interview" to let the producers get to know you. I thought it would be a great way to spend my first year of retirement (like THE AMAZING RACE, the show moved from country to country during its various rounds).

Obviously, I wasn't selected, but what's funny is that they DID select a man who almost matched my stats perfectly - single man in his late 40s, a teacher on the verge of retirement. (Ironically, he was the first one eliminated in the first episode of the show.)

Actually, no.  Your choice was even more appropriate.

Hi, there, DR Miss Karen.  Now that the thesis crunch is over, you must be kicking back and being fed peeled grapes and fanned by enormous palm fronds!
