Well, you've read the notes, the notes were like the theater of the absurd, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're watching MOO and Pah Jong.

And my first GG is Gogi Grant.  I really have no idea who she is, but I just know her name.

Gogi Grant was (and still is, unless she passed recently) a terrific singer - her big hit was The Wayward Wind.

Gary Goodrow - actor.

Everyone is, of course, on the honor system - no looking up things - you have to know who it is or have heard of the person.

Yesterday, I wrote:

ARRGGHH!!  I set my DVR to record this.  When I got up, my DVR was on but it had a big error message on the screen, basically saying that my DVR was 100% full! :o Not again.  I deleted a tiny clip that I had recorded and INSTANTLY my DVR was ONLY 24% full.  What gives?  Why does it do that??  It's not fair. :P

Then, der Brucer der Brucer wrote:

I don't know about yours, but mine (from COMCAST) seems to "lose" space over time - if I unplug it and then re-power up, the lost space is recovered. (Turning off is not sufficient, you must un-plug!)

Thanks for the tip, but that won't prevent this problem from happening in the first place. :-\ I figured that I can record several clips of just a few seconds each, and when this happens and I need to delete something...anything, I can delete one of the clips and that'll reset the "space available" ratio.  I don't doubt that powering down the DVR would work, but it just seems like it's more of a hassle.
