This frigging Sylvania is still not fixed. Now Funai, after 5 months of screwing up the repair orders, wants to take it to Torrance, CA to their shop FOR TWO MONTHS to have it fixed. I have flat-out refused. I asked a lawyer friend tonight if she knows if there's any kind of consumer protection ordinance in the ORS that dictates once a consumer has made a good faith attempt to get something fixed that's within warranty if the remedy then becomes the discretion of the consumer. My friend thought indeed there is, but she gave me a consumer law expert to call tomorrow. If there is such a law on the books here, I'm going to demand a new television. Once it is here I will send this defective unit to them (at their expense of course).
