Singdaw has one with Elvis painted on it and "SING-GOD" in rhinestones.
Hugh "Baby" Jarrett has joined the choir invisible.
Most people might not recognize his name, but he was a member of the Jordanaires, the group of singers who backed Elvis. Hugh had the deep bass voice. He lived a few miles from my mom's house, and he would occasionally work with our pops orchestra. He was a famous DJ in Atlanta back in the 60's and is in all the music hall of fames, I think.
Anyway, I got to know him when I worked on a movie he was in back in the mid '80's. He was a very sweet guy and very patient with me when I bugged him to tell me stories about his days in rock & roll.
He was in a car accident, and then in the hospital, eventually his injuries got the best of him. Ironically, his grandson also died in a car accident a few days ago. After one of those big storms, several trees were down in the road and I guess he didn't see them. What a sad week for their family.
