I'm hopelessly behind in the posts. I haven't a clue what's going on. Yeah, yeah. The initials game; I got that part.

Wasn't Ginger Crisps the name of a drag queen?  I'm very sure it was.

I don't think we've had any repeats so far.

Well, the DH is going to be in San Francisco for a convention at the end of June and beginning of July.  I'm doing research to find out what the requirements are, but I may just hop a quick flight out to CA and back so that we can legally be married before the courts shut it down.  NY State has already ruled that it will recognize the marriage.  The November CA ballot referendum may render it null and void, but I still think it's worth it to try.

It's expected to be 98 here today, as well, Matt. Ugh!

If this is any indication how the summer is actually going to be, I'm already dreading the next three months.

I have a couple of questions for Ben, if he wouldn't mind.

What kind of oatmeal do you eat? Do you add oat bran? How much? Did oatmeal help your good cholesterol or bad cholesterol?

I am drawing a blank on the initials this morning.

Memphis photos will be forthcoming, but this morning I must take my mom to her doctors appointment and then I am off to work.

I just use regular Old Fashioned (not Quick) Oatmeal. I don't add oat bran but I do put in at least one kind of fruit, usually raisins but many times I'll add raisins and apricots or raisins and a banana or raisins and a peach or something like that. The added fruit adds fibre also. I use half a cup (the recommended serving size) and follow the directions cooking it in the microwave. You can also cook it in a pot on the stove. It lowered both cholesterols but it didn't lower my bad as much as I or my doctor would have liked but it's a start. Adding oat bran (or flax or some other high whole grain) may help to lower the bad cholesterol so it's worth a shot.
