Well, you've read the notes, the notes had words, and now it is time for you to post until the sponsored cows come home.

Welcome to long-time lurker and new dear reader Mark - who, coincidentally, was at the Nudie Musical reading with his lovely wife.

Good Tuesday morning vibes to all. And thank you, Bruce, for the warm welcome.

I'm a longtime errant/truant lurker who has, until now, ignored BK's many pleas to post. "Post," he's implored me and my wife when we've run into him at the Music Center in Los Angeles. "Post," he's demanded when I've run into him and a bunch of merry Hainsies/Kimlets at Musso & Frank's in Hollywood. "Post," he's pleaded in an e-mail.

And so, here it is, my first post.

I think I'll name her Emily.

Even though Mark spoke to me at the reading, he can feel free to post his thoughts, if he likes.

The stage version is probably a teeny bit raunchier than the film, due to a couple of the additions.  Someone (Barry Pearl, I think) asked how we were going to handle the nudity - I said "Blatantly."

Do you think that might narrow your potential casting pool?

Thank you DRs Jose and JRand (and others) for yesterday's supportive posts.
Actually they are today's but that is all too confusing!

A few laughs here!

The Greatest Show On Earth.
What does a 7 year old know?

I've not watched it since - the magic thus remains!

Oddly, no.  Even with the movie, we had no trouble getting professionals to do it - they just thought it was really funny and they knew our hearts were in the right place and that it was not going to be salacious or leering - it's one of the reasons in the opening number in the film why we put the gals in those hats and had them chewing gum.  And I'd hope that anyone who was in the stage version would know the same thing.

One interesting and amusing thing is that today's "grooming" habits are, thanks to the porn industry and the males who are influenced by the same, so completely different than when we made the film - and since the stage version is true to the time period of the film, 1975, well, everyone is going to have to look like the 70s, if you get my meaning.
