BEEF WELLINGTON
« on: June 11, 2008, 01:24:31 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were beefy and had a certain Wellington flavor, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're in Wellington right now, trying to get served.

What the heck is going on?  All this time has passed since our esteemed BK posted his notes, and I'm the first one to post post BK?

This smacks of Wussburger Wellington!

Beef Wellington had an interesting career in porn, starting in the late '70s after his catering career waned.  Audiences thrilled to his crusty exterior, and applauded that tasty little bit of mushroom he'd kept hidden beneath the wrappings.

I dreamed of you last night, BK!  It all had to do with your reading of FNM.  You had something like thirty caterers out on your patio, all kvetching about how hard it was going to be serving the fifteen people in your living room.

The view from your patio of the Pacific Ocean was beautiful, btw.  I hadn't realized that the Pacific Ocean could be seen from the City of Studio, but the colors of the sunset were marvelous.

Wednesday morning greetings!

Thank you to DRs Edi and Jose for last night's vibes.  I slept better than expected and am now "in the NO."

NO make-up
NO jewelry
NO coffee

That last one is killin' me.

Dear Tom of Oz, we love scones in Chelsea!!!

There is a wonderful baker at the Greenmarket who makes delicious scones, both savory and sweet. I usually get a cheddar and green scallion scone and then a sweet scone and we have the savory one for lunch (with a salad) and the sweet one with jam and butter for Sunday breakfast. We would love to try your scones (is that a euphemism?)

So here we are at Post No. 10 and I'm about to leave.

I have much work and an all staff meeting this morning. We are to meet the new President of our organization. He takes over officially October 1st but since he's been officially chosen it's time for the staff to officially meet him.

In what role? I don't remember her name in the credits, but I could have missed it.

I believe she played Gail Green.  I never watched the show, so I am not sure who Gail Green was character-wise.  She may have been the wife of Gerald McRaney?

Mark, you can add me to the list of having a mother who made pie crust cookies with cinnamon and sugar.  If she had a name for those little pinwheels, I don't remember it, but that was part of the fun when she baked pies.

Good morning, all! I have little to report. I have to finish one Kip Wilborn chart and begin the next. Tomorrow the Daniel Rodriguez medley arrives.

That's my day. I'm staying in. Tomorrow I must brave the heat for Toyland and the NYPL.

DR's Singday, TCB, and FJL, Thanks so much!  I'm crossing my fingers.  It would be nice to leave this job I'm in and go directly to another without having to wait.  I hate being off work for too long, ya know?

TOD:   Ask bk:

Onstage or off, have you ever had the opportunity to throw a pie in anyone's face?  Have you ever been the recipient of a pie in the face?

And how were last night's homemade pineapple pies?
