McDonald's serves a pineapple pie overseas?

It's not a patch on yours, though.    :)

I have been in the process since January of looking for a job (grown-up stuff-- Yuck).   Days have been so much nicer without one (walks with DR Laura, etc).  Dr Laura and DR Sandra and I went hiking yesterday (and also got doughnuts) However, it is time to REALLY hunker down and get a job.  It would so much easier if I knew what I wanted to be when i grew up.   I need an agent since I find it difficult to sell myself  (well except on street corners under street lights)!

I need all your good vibes, because I have to do this, and this is always out of my comfort zone.

All good thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

And speaking of fine dining...

Frank Bruni's review of Ago in today's New York Times is a must read for fans of dining out and disaster movies.

I think Taylor Hicks (as Teen Angel/ GREASE) will be performing on Regis and Kelly this friday.

I wonder if it will be a bunch of castmates or just him.

I must say I'm sure it's a lot more expensive, but i wish if they were going to do Broadway (on regis + kelly) that they would do group numbers that would make people want to see the shows.

I really do not like when they advertise a show will be on and it is just one person standing there singing.

Post-operative greetings!  Just call me Big Foot, because my left one is.  They administered a nerve block to my ankle, which should keep me numb until sometime tomorrow.  Right now, it just feels like my foot is asleep, big time.

The surgery went fine and I'm home and a bit groggy.  Thanks to DRs Singdaw, MBarnum, Jennifer, JRand, and George for the vibes that I found when I signed on here.

Job hunting vibes for DRs JulieC40 and Kerry!

DR Jennifer has a very valid point, but I shall never forget a 1993 Regis & Kathie Lee episode on which Shaun and David Cassidy sang "Tell Me It's Not True" from "Blood Brothers." It was not a song they sang in the show — their characters were, or course, dead when this closing number was performed  — but their R&KL version was gorgeous.

It can be seen, in rather grainy quality, here:

Dear Tom of Oz, we love scones in Chelsea!!!

And also here in Delaware!

I just finished a wondeeful cheddar and bacon scone I bought a the Farmer's Market. Woody's market bakery often prepares scones - I'm partial to the apple-cinnamon.

For Singwants-a-ring:

LA TIMES

Quote
Official says L.A. County will be ready for gay marriages

The county clerk says ceremonies could begin June 16, the first possible day that the state Supreme Court's ruling allowing same-sex marriages could take effect.

By Jean-Paul Renaud, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
1:27 PM PDT, May 20, 2008

Acting Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean Logan told county supervisors today that his office would be ready to perform same-sex marriages on June 16.

That is the earliest date on which the state Supreme Court's overturning of the ban on same-sex marriages could take effect.

Dr Laura and DR Sandra and I went hiking yesterday (and also got doughnuts)

For the record, THEY had doughnuts. I had a cup of coffee. Krispy Kreme reopened in town.
