Thanks, DR dB!  I will be in line not too long after that!   :D

Well, if you need a character witness there are many of us on HHW who....hmmmm....nevermind.

Glad to hear your ordeal is over, Ginny, and that you are not in pain. Yet.

 :-\

Thanks, DR Laura.  I have 3 (count 'em, 3) prescriptions. One for an anti-inflamatory that I'm supposed to start taking in about 45 minutes and take steadily 'round the clock.  The other 2 are PRN, one for moderate pain and the other for severe pain.  So far, numbness is nice.

Oh, I've been duly warned, DR der Brucer, and armed with drugs.  DR Laura's post made me laugh, which is also healthy.

Yesterday, Cilla posted:

It's fascinating to me, the flooding in Wisconsin is so bad the lakes are literally disappearing...ok one lake...towns are being evacuated in Iowa, bridges are being washed out etc...yet I really don't see much about it at all on the national news.

I don't know about your news channels, but my TV seemed to be in an endless loop of that house breaking in half and sliding down the hill and out to sea (or wherever the lake was going).

And/or we could put the real next thing next to the fake-food creation, and see who can tell the difference.

I can provide ingredients for the real thing. Cat-wise, that is...

Vixter, the book is at the publisher now and I'm hoping we have copies here by say end of August at the latest.  We'll probably start preorders in mid-July.

Will there be a sequel where Adriana hunts down the murderer of the Hollywood High Stunt C*ck?

DR MBarnum, this was my selection, but I'm not sure if I have the figure to pull it off:

If I remember Beef Wellington correctly, the dough is just around the edges of the meat, and there is a layer of pate between dough and meat.  I had it at the late great Perino's and somewhere on the Sunset Strip - and both times it was really faboo.

A proper Wellington is baked completely encased in dough, and then sliced for serving:

•   June 9: Steven Coker caries his thirteen-year-old dog Ralphie to dry land in New Hartford, Iowa. Coker had left his dog overnight after he evacuated his home on Sunday night, but went back to get him later.

I have been in the process since January of looking for a job (grown-up stuff-- Yuck).   Days have been so much nicer without one (walks with DR Laura, etc).  Dr Laura and DR Sandra and I went hiking yesterday (and also got doughnuts) However, it is time to REALLY hunker down and get a job.  It would so much easier if I knew what I wanted to be when i grew up.   I need an agent since I find it difficult to sell myself  (well except on street corners under street lights)!

I need all your good vibes, because I have to do this, and this is always out of my comfort zone.

All good thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

However, if the street corner one is working, why change now?

Thanks, DR Elmore.  Or you could be like our friend who brought you Doritos and bring me some tap shoes  ;)

But you're too nice to do that!

DR Jennifer has a very valid point, but I shall never forget a 1993 Regis & Kathie Lee episode on which Shaun and David Cassidy sang "Tell Me It's Not True" from "Blood Brothers." It was not a song they sang in the show — their characters were, or course, dead when this closing number was performed  — but their R&KL version was gorgeous.

It can be seen, in rather grainy quality, here:

Boy, that is a clip that Tomovoz will want to save to his favorites!
