We watched the final episode of the UK's excellent "Life on Mars" last night. I'm looking forward to the "sequel" (already aired in the UK) - "Ashes To Ashes".

DR Tom - YES it has. Such a fabulous score. As like a lot of their work, it's diverse and full of fantastic styles. Like in Ragtime, Stephen certainly has captured the "sound" of the era and the location.

So today was the first day of attempting using the CalTrain and the bike for transportation purposes. Getting the bike on the train proved interesting as I didn't know the logistics of how it was done, but being a great follower, I learned quickly. The downside was that the first train that came (the one I wanted) didn't have any more bike room. So, I'll have to plan for that the rest of the summer. I love my bike, I hope this all works out.

In the FWIW department:

Murphy showed up at Mass one Sunday, and Father Flynn almost
fainted when he saw him. Murphy had never been seen in church
in recent memory.

After Mass, the priest caught up with Murphy and said, "Murphy,
I'm so glad to see you at Mass. What made you decide to come?"

Murphy said, "I've got to be honest with you Father. A while back,
I misplaced me hat and I really, really loved that hat. I know that
McGlynn has a hat just like me own hat. And I know that McGlynn
comes to church every Sunday and takes his hat off during Mass
and leaves it in the back of the church. So, I was going to leave
after Communion and steal McGlynn's hat."

The priest said, "Well, Murphy, I notice that you didn't steal McGlynn's
hat. What changed your mind?"

Murphy said, "Well, after I heard your sermon on The Ten Commandments,
I decided that I didn't need to steal McGlynn's hat."

The priest gave Murphy a big smile and said; "After I talked about
'Thou Shalt Not Steal,' you decided you would rather do without your
hat than burn in Hell, right ?"

Murphy shook his head and said, "No, Father, after you talked about
'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,' I remembered where I left me hat.

I had shrimp bisque for lunch today followed by grilled salmon (cooked to perfection!) and steamed veggies.

The veggies were not-so-much steamed today as I'd prefer. And there were a lot of broccoli florets that were very crunchy (and raw-ish).

And now, the florets are repeating on me.

Argghhh and Oof.... $:-\$

I spent the first hour and ten minutes this afternoon with TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED: TRANSFORM AND ROLL OUT. It's three episodes of the TV series combined into a "feature film." As TV animation goes, it's OK - loud, bright, filled with action. These are not quiet cartoons.

The packaging boasts of the DVD also have two TRANSFORMER shorts. That is certainly true. The first one lasts two minutes and the second lasts less than one minute.

When they said shorts, they MEANT it!
