Danny Burstein seems perfect as Billis......but I kept expecting him to say:

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAT?"

He does.  Just not in that number.  ;)

It works much better when it's not so truncated.

*And if you thought that was truncated... Well...

Uh -oh....this doesn't bode well.

Where were you sitting this morning, DR JOSE?  8)

So does each show's producers have to ante up the bucks for sets at RCMH just for the Tony broadcast?

I would like to have heard the Twin Soliloquies

You'll have to come to Manhattan and see it.

I love the staging of the number; she's so happy in it and it's so joyous with all of the clowning. There was no choreographer credited in the original production, and it was the cartwheels that sent Mary Martin into the pit and on top of the conductor and Trude Rittman in rehearsal. She gave them football helmets for opening night.

I was sitting in Row M for the most part of this morning's rehearsal.  The seating at RCMH starts with AA-ZZ, and the A-Z.  I'll leave it up to you to do the math.  -But they did have all the jumbo-trons working.

Do does each show's producers have to ante up the bucks for sets at RCMH just for the Tony broadcast?

Most shows - if they've been nominated for enough awards - and not just the Tony's - and if they have a lot of promo-performance - now construct a traveling set.  -It's sooo much easier and cheaper than moving it in and out of the theatre on an almost daily basis during the height of awards season.

Whoopi is plugging Disney tonight!

She's basically plugging each currently running musical on Broadway.  Not just Disney.

*And she did not fly at rehearsal.

Finally, seventeen GUESTS.  But FJL has come and gone without so much as a post - someone call him and read him the riot act.

OK... Here's Barry Bostwick to introduce the current revival of Grease...

You can now leave the room, and/or cover your ears and/or eyes.
