THE LITTLE MERMAID.

...And after I heard this at rehearsal, I asked myself, "Did Alan Menken approve this version?!?!?"  -The double-ending using the Reprise - ???

Um, they've just posted a thunderstorm warning for our county.  Sure hope we don't have to go to the basement - stairs would be problematic for me tonight...

I don't normally watch the Tony's.... when does the award for Best Play get delivered...

And does anyone know if they're gonna do an exerpt from The Thirtynine Steps? Or do they just do musical numbers?

*Alas, that's not Leslie Kritzer and the (hunky) Matt Cavenaugh on the dais.

**And I don't think they used that dais for anything else during the show.  ???

I wonder what our highest posting tally for a Tony Awards show is - I know it never got really close to our Oscar partays.

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN should have stayed a black & white movie.

Best Play comes soon.  I think.  I remember.

*Just remember SPOILERS for the West Coast.

**And 39 Steps just gets a very brief video clip - as do the other nominees.

Faith Price has forgotten how to sing? Wow!

Umm... Well, her music was really soft at the rehearsal, and, even when you're singing some of Bucchino's music in tune, you can still sound flat.

Gabriel Byrne is showing up. Please God, don't let him do a number from CAMELOT! Do you think he will apologize?

I must have used one of his songs for my audition today.  Did he write All I Do Is Dream of You?

*I ran into Shuler Hensley last night on the way back from the show...  He was staying in town last night in order to make it easier for him to get to rehearsal this morning.  Alas, since he had the rehearsal... Then a matinee... Then the broadcast... He had to keep most of his make up on the whole day.  Ugh!

I am having some stuttering with the broadcast (starting and stopping and audio dropouts), but at least it's there. I didn't have a powerful enough computer last year to be able to see anything.

I am recording this on both of my DVRs, and on both CBS channels (regular and HD) just in case.
