Of what I have seen so far tonight, the two plays I would like to see should they still be around next time I am in NYC are SOUTH PACIFIC and IN THE HEIGHTS.

I think you could do a lot worse the Regis Philbin to host a gameshow.

That Cheyenne guy shore is purty! But I guess I don't cotton to his style of singin' much.

Why didn't they do the title song?

As someone who enjoyed Xanadu for what it was, I must say I thought that was the worst number they could have done.  I would never see the show based on that - there were much better numbers.  And how nice that the Tonys allowed them to have an actual orchestra play the score - not exactly truth in advertising, though, since the onstage band consists of two keyboards and drums.

Hmm.... I'm watching the later broadcast of "The Next Food Network Star"...  Does Lisa know she looks like she applied her blush with a wide paint brush.  In the dark?

Why didn't they do the title song?

Do you know how many mirror balls it would have taken to fill RCMH? ;)

That's just the show.  He actually does the legit thing very well.

And, yes, he is very purty.

DR tomovoz - are you familiar with Charlie Byrd's  HOLLYWOOD BYRD album?  It features a recording, with vocals, of HAWAII's "The Wishing Doll."

Don't know it at all td.. I gather it is only on vinyl.  I shall try and find a copy!

His Gaston is laugh-out-loud funny!

I don't know Debra's history, care to share?

A number of "breakdowns" and relaibility issues. Think Amy Winehouse.

She may have worn out her "I've been led astray.  I'm OK now.  I'm back. Please love me.  Remember I was sweet on young Talent Time" lines with Mr and Mrs Public.  And yes - she is a terrific talent. Her co member of the kiddie show "Young Talent Time" was Philip Gould who has had considerable success in the West End.

Patti was fun, and the network asshole who tried to cut her off should be fired posthaste.  When she said "shut up" to the conductor, someone with a bloody brain should have stopped the music.  How idiotic are these people?  And I liked that Paolo won, based on what I saw this night.

One upon time DR Allan (Bournemouth UK) from the old board, went to see Liza in London a few weeks back.  Of course the crowd wanted to love her and did - but her voice was not good!
