What's wrong with what the woman did on the plane?  Aren't we entitled to act however we choose - what does it matter that there are laws?  We're entitled to not obey them, aren't we?  Why can't we be drunk and punch people in the face if we're lighting up a cigarette on an airplane?  Why do we have to pay attention when we're driving instead of being able to text?  I just don't get it.

The drunk passenger even looks a bit psychotic. I hope they lock her up for a long time.

She reminds me of an actress from last season's CLOSER:

Oh, and for those who preorder the new book, quite a nifty little extra coming with it - a completely extra item, one that everyone will really like.

I know this isn't ASK BK DAY (Is it?), but you said you will be working several hours tomorrow with Mr. Spirtas for his Kevin Spirtas/Sean McDermott two-person show.  Will you not be be working with Mr McDermott?  Is he being totally ignored?  Is he expected to just stand there during the staging with no patter and no movement to contribute?

Today I am singing at the 275th anniversary of the founding of the church where I sing.

In colonial Connecticut, you had to have a charter for a Congregational Church before you could establish a town, and the Meeting House was where the foundling "Government" took place.   Connecticut's current Lieutenant Governor will be attending, amongst other officials.

DR TCB - the money is on Nik Cage, as he used to be known.

That should be no surprise.  Didn't he previously eat a cockroach?

My DH has an interesting job coming up: "Dukefest"! It's a reunion of the cast members of THE DUKES OF HAZZARD. There will be 7 crews shooting, so I imagine it will be cut into a TV special.

Does he need an assistant!!!!

DR JRand - Will the director be stepping into the soon-to-be-possibly-vacant role?

And they will be changing the title of the play to ALL MY GRANDFATHERS.

Ok. I am going to a funeral. I was able to put my shoe on  just now. No leopard-spotted slippers, like last night.

I do not look forward to getting into my car (which is parked in the sun); a little weatherbug tells me it is 115F.

BK, re: COLONY

Unless they are going out of business, i'm sure you will get your money eventually. 2 months is not that long (it might feel long for you).

It's annoying.  And if you don't want to sell to them again that is fine.  But sometimes it's overwhelming being in accounts payable when every one is calling and you don't have the money to send (don't know if that is their issue).

Just keep calling. And sending the invoices.

Jennifer, try not paying your bills for two months and see how understanding and forgiving your creditors will be.

Regarding the Colony, they are the most overpriced CD store in NYC.  The last thing I bough there was BK's A HOLLYWOOD CHRISTMAS (before he was selling online) and that was because it was the only place in NYC I could find it (I had checked at least a dozen stores).  They charged $25.  Although I don't know for sure, I assume that because of their location, most of their customers are tourists.

BK mentioned Jason Grae.  He was in NYC Monday for "Broadway by the Year 1979" and will be back in mid-July for two events.  He will be part of the Musicals in Mufti Larry Grossman revue (with Lorna Luft, Liz Larson and a couple of others) and also for Town Hall's A NIGHT AT THE OPERETTA 2 along with Marc Kudish and the wonderful Nancy Anderson.

It is always such a pleasure to see DR WEL posting again!

I watched the first episode (just started here) of IN PLAIN SIGHT.

I'm not sure if i liked it or not. It was okay. And the storyline was quite different. And Mary McCormack (sp?) was quite good. She reminds me a lot of holly hunter's character on SAVING GRACE.

Does it get better?

Well, 'tis time for me to head down to my friend's place to watch his adorable son for a few hours.  I shall have my laptop with me, so I should be able to post.  -Apparently, the baby is still dealing with a serious case of jetlag, and has been sleeping until around 1:00pm.  We shall see.

Laters...

Wow, that word "until" is important to that sentence.  I skipped that word and read that the baby was dealing with serious case of jetlag and has been sleeping around...

Of interest to JRand:

#1 pop song in the UK for the past two weeks:

Gene Kelly "Singing In the Rain"  (Mint Royale - with Kelly "sampling")

I have been lying on the couch with my foot elevated while listening to cds.

May I say that John Adams is obnoxious and disliked.

I didn't know that~!

I've been absent more than usual this past week.
Last Saturday Magnus was in a distressed state - some antiflams have brought him back to his usual delightful happy self.  I've been expecting (well the symptoms are there) Shingles to arrive back (it's been nearly 4 years). My visit to my GP and blood tests indicate that it is not the case - I'm still not convinced and staying with the medication for a few more days at least).  The virsu has to be hit within 72 hours or there is nothing that can be done.  Last time I had 10 - 12 weeks of being oh so very tired etc.

I'm probably OK - and so is Magnus.  Please send the vibes to those really in need.

We attempted to watch Julie Taymar's "Across the Universe". Thirty minutes was way more than enough. You need more than visual style to make a good movie.  "Frida" missed the boat too!

Thanks Gang.

Many would say that I am a shingle short! (Is that only a UK/Oz expression)

Sort of one sandwich short of a picnic.
