My mention of Gig Young was not a MBarnum reference.

that's true; DR MBarnum's dates can only be referred to as "old gigs."

Of interest to JRand:

#1 pop song in the UK for the past two weeks:

Gene Kelly "Singing In the Rain"  (Mint Royale - with Kelly "sampling")

What does that mean?

Well it does sound like the Mickey Mouse Club!

(and I certainly used to watch it!)
Thank you DR TCB

Thanks Gang.

Many would say that I am a shingle short! (Is that only a UK/Oz expression)

Sort of one sandwich short of a picnic.

Pop Group "Mint Royale"  have the #1 song in the UK.  It is a version of "Singing In The Rain" which has some of the  Gene Kelly lines "inserted".

To my ears it is a "mess".  I don't really understand this techno/syntho DJ mix music.

Some of the UK pop music this year has been outstanding.  This is about as interesting as L'ill Wayne!

Wiring has arrived and they are hard at work.  I think I won't be going out to the cast party after all - I noticed it starts at six, and I would have had to already leave to be there, and I can't until I know this wiring thing is resolved, and do I really want to be in Friday night traffic for ninety minutes in this sort of heat.

The next two months (is that right) see the marriage of Rodzinski and the arrivel of the Jed/Ann bundle of joy. (a Debbie Reynolds reference).

I hope someone is able to bring us updates:  TCB   MBarnum

Rodzinski told me that they hadn't set the date yet.  I was just thinking I would call the parents-to-be this weekend.

I wonder who the OZ singer is that has been "produced by BK/  I hope it is not another "Oz Idol".

So far there has only been one with any talent or orginality! (IMHO)
I've never watched the show - just heard the eventual CD tracks released by the winners and runners up!

No check arrived today - well, I did get a weird sort of check from some company in Chicago ordering five Evening Primrose - I fill in the amount up to a cap of $105 - they want some sort of discount, so I'll throw in the shipping and that's their discount.

I just  noticed that if you click on a quote, it takes you back to the original post where the quote came from.

I can't believe it took me this long to notice that, but I'm glad I did!

Good Evening!

The apartment smells like cookies!  :)

*My roommate, Jim, is turning 30 tomorrow, and he's having a party - well two parties actually - both of which I will have to miss due to some work commitments and my travel arrangements.  So, since I had been thinking of making some cookies this week already, and since it is his birthday, and since I won't be able to be there, and since I didn't really feel like packing my luggage yet, I decided to make a batch of his favorite cookies - the oatmeal-chocolate-chip-pecans ones.

*And I have to say, the generally warmer temps did affect the "outcome".  They still look fine - and taste fine - but they don't look exactly like they usually do.

How about Li'l Kim?
