Well, that's what the subway is for.

I had heard that, yes!    ;D

Well you can knock me over with a feather!  I didn't know about it until you pointed it out!

Really? I discovered it a while back. It's quite handy, actually.

We are having such weird weather. I see blue sky and white clouds and it's thundering.

Hmm... Well.... I'm currently sort-of-watching "The Daytime Emmys"...  -And I think I just heard one of the most interesting acceptance speeches ever.  <snap>

We'd gotten up to eighty-three in the house, but the temp is on the way down finally - seventy-nine at last count.

Quite a crowd.  Did the four leave or die!

I am SOOO hoping that the painter coming to give me an estimate tomorrow works out.  If he can do the painting/maintenance outside and get the first floor and stairway/hall painting done. I would be very close to having two floors nearly complete, at least complete enough to entertain

Of course there are alternatives to "entertaining" on the floor.  Each to her/his own.

Best of luck Cilla with the estimate.

LOL, thanks Tom. Ok, I will allow people to sit in chairs and I may even powerwash and seal the deck so people can sit outside

Why don't funeral homes have organs (or pianos) any more? Why must we listen to bad bad bad (that is three bads) CDs of hymns that sound like karaoke tapes???

I believe the popularity of the song is due to THIS.

WHAT was that?

Well, I'm all packed.  The cookies have cooled and have been packaged.  The kitchen sink is clear of dishes and utensils, and I've put away all said dishes and utensils.  And now I just need to "clean" my desk.  I think.  ;)

Although, now that I think of it - and now that I "feel" it too - I guess I should grab a bite to eat too.

Had some fun viewing experiences this evening.

I began with the last episode of STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO on disc 2. It didn't really feature any guest stars of note, but it was a pretty affecting story of an aged confidential informant being killed by the mob, and his daughter's efforts to bring them to justice.

Next I watched the Blu-ray of ENCHANTED. Marvelous fun yet again. I think this is the fourth time I've watched it all the way through without playing the D-LIST game that also can be played while watching.

Next I watched a MURDER SHE WROTE episode, this one from disc 2 on the season eight set. Jessica finally decided to enter the computer age which leads to an interesting murder case as she's taking computer classes. Charles Frank was the murder victim and David Groh was among the suspects. I had never seen this episode before, so I really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed SAVED much more than I expected from the reviews, and it has a wonderful cast. I liked a lot of the score, although I thought a "big" number in Act Two was rather formless and unmusical, but i thought it could have been trimmed a bit. The libretto is funny, and I love the film, and there's a really wonderful number for four men in Act Two.

I ran for the bus as soon as it was over, but I had a good time and I laughed a lot.

I was able to skim through tonight's Emmy Awards for daytime shows. Some expected winners; some unexpected. So glad I watched it this way instead of sitting through all those clips from the nominees' performances, etc. Got it watched in about 40 minutes.
