Then I began WALKER TEXAS RANGER. Of course, I NEVER watched the show during its eight year run on network TV. It's pretty much what you would expect from a series starring (and produced) by Chuck Norris about the modern day Texas Rangers. Of course, he kicks ass using karate in every episode though they have tried to soften the character some by having comedy relief occasionally or, in the case of the two part episode I'm watching right now, human interest with Norris' Walker taking in a little eight year old who is living with AIDS.
The child is played by Haley Joel Osment (who acts circles around Norris, but they do make a sweet father/son type duo). MacKenzie Phillips played his drug addicted mother.
