I began my afternoon viewing by finishing up the MURDER SHE WROTE episode I had started. I had never seen this episode before, but I did guess the identity of the killer.

Yes, it starts in July on Bravo, the last run of the show on that channel.

In the fall, PROJECT RUNWAY switches to Lifetime.

I watched another MURDER SHE WROTE episode while I finished eating lunch, and this one I had seen before. It concerned a ballet company doing an infamous ballet that always has brought death to the prima ballerina. Marisa Berensen and Robert Torti were the guest stars along with Adrian Paul. I remembered instantly who the murderer was and the murder weapon, but enjoyed watching it again anyway.

I had a deli trip during lunch today and my meal was Reuben (with kosher corned beef) on toasted rye, potato salad, kosher dill pickle slice and a glass of sweet iced tea.

"We" are doing Szechuan tomorrow when one of my coworkers will be avaialbe to join us.

Then I began WALKER TEXAS RANGER. Of course, I NEVER watched the show during its eight year run on network TV. It's pretty much what you would expect from a series starring (and produced) by Chuck Norris about the modern day Texas Rangers. Of course, he kicks ass using karate in every episode though they have tried to soften the character some by having comedy relief occasionally or, in the case of the two part episode I'm watching right now, human interest with Norris' Walker taking in a little eight year old who is living with AIDS.

The child is played by Haley Joel Osment (who acts circles around Norris, but they do make a sweet father/son type duo). MacKenzie Phillips played his drug addicted mother.

The episode prior to that one was one of the more light-hearted episodes starring Terry Kiser (WEEKEND AT BERNIES) in a dual role as a bomber and a small time operator enlisted by the Rangers to pass himself off as the bomber to the bad guys.

With nothing on TV for me tonight, I should be able to finish disc 1 and go through all of disc 2 tonight as well. (That will only leave FIVE more discs to go. Unfortunately, this isn't one of the shows whose seasons get split in half.)

One of my favorites -- D. Paul -- was sent home in Sunday's episode.

The judges keep avoiding eliminating the biggest morale problem on the show -- Tracee ,the queen bitch of wannabe-a-designer-dom. She has twice pronounced how ashamed she is to be associated with others on the show and yet twice has made extremely tacky design decisions.

I'm flabbergasted at her longevity. I know the judges have criteria and demoralizing behavior and bad taste are not as egregious, apparently, as other issues like not finishing a room. WADSING WADINGS ADSWING SADWING GINWADS

Excursion for the day: Well, I went to the downtown Portland today for a job fair. Wasn't much there but a couple of interests for me but I did meet some interesting people...a little TOO interesting! I always seem to be the one who attracts the "odd" ones. It always amazes me. They don't want money, they just want my attention...and always on the days I want to be left alone. Kind of funny, huh?

Good luck with the job hunt DR JulieC40.

Our younger son just graduated from graduate school thinking he had a nice job lined up. After more difficulties than I wish to go into on a public board he has sent them a letter declining the position. Now after many lost opportunities he is once again job hunting. Actually he never was hunting, the companies were going to his school looking for applicants, now he has to go to them.
