For absolutely no reason at all:

I did say conyo today. Edith said "Do you know what you just said? Who taught you that?"  So, I told her all the Spanish swear words I know and she laiughed and laughed

But would you want someone else going into your profile, and then cutting and pasting it to the public part of the board?

It would bother me not in the slightest, I have no illusions that internet sites like HHW are anything but Public Forums.

I might also add that MusicGuy posted links to his own recordings, so his ID is no secret.

Whoever asked...was it DR Ron, I found this quote in the NYT

Quote
Aides to both senators say hard feelings between the two camps are dissipating by the week — many people from both sides, in fact, were friends before and remain close — but some habits remain. In the primary, aides to Mrs. Clinton referred to their rival as B.H.O. — initials of Barack Hussein Obama, including his middle name, which has been a politically sensitive issue — while Mr. Obama’s team simply referred to him as B.O. The B.H.O. shorthand is frowned upon inside Mr. Obama’s campaign headquarters, a warning for any Clinton staff members coming aboard.

So I guess they want him to be called B.O.  LOL, whatever.

And I'm going to take a pre-bedtime shower, and then head to bed.  Tomorrow is going to be a big "detail" day, so I'm gonna need my rest.

Goodnight.

My goodness, what a busy night at HHW. One of the busiest in many months (not counting Tony and Oscar nights).

I have a vivid memory of a commercial -- possibly on radio, but maybe on TV -- for a deodorant.  One of the attention-getters (or "hooks) was a deep-voiced man (voiceover, probably) imitating a foghorn and saying "Beeee-Ohhhhh", and, of course, the brand of  deodorant being advertised would prevent same.

How well I remember, was made to bathe with it regularly!

Lifebuoy

The radio commercial had a foghorn and  “BEEEEEE-OHHHHH” sound effects

The tag line was :

"Your best friend won't tell you."

You can hear the full commercial HERE (click on red soap bar in top center)

I had time this evening to watch five more episodes of WALKER TEXAS RANGER. (Only 17 more to go).

The conclusion of the Haley Joel Osment episode was quite moving and well done except for his speedy death. Had a slight cough after dinner and was dead by the next morning.

One episode had Gwen Verdon as the guest star. She was playing an old lady in a rest home where experiments were being carried out on some of the old residents.

This is what happens when "mother bk" is away and the the board is hijacked by Ron, Singwhatever, and your humble servant.

A two part episode turned back the hands of time to the Old West as Norris played a Texas Ranger trying to clean up a lawless town ruled by a gunslinger with a lightning fast draw. Naturally, after two episodes, it boiled down to that showdown in the street it took two episodes to get to.

One nice thing was Joseph Bottoms (one of my all-time crushes) guest starring in the first of the two parter.

The last episode I watched was sci-fi in nature: a young kid with telekenesis powers has been told his mother (Anne Lockhart) is dead, so he's in a scientific institute where he's being experimented on and where his only friend is a super-computer called "Art."

The kid actor was no Haley Joel Osment, however.

I concluded my evening with Bette Davis and Mary Astor in THE GREAT LIE. This is the first of the films I've watched from the latest Warners/Bette Davis set. They've done a fantastic job cleaning up the film. Sure, there are still a few scratches and film fluctuations, but compared to the ghastly print they used for the laserdisc, this looks almost brand new.

What a pleasure to see it again after quite a few years away from it.

Wow it has been a busy day here at HHW.....such wonderful posts.  People's feets continue to be a problem.....pictures, dancers, opera singers, libraries under water.

It's the whole world in ONE PLACE!

MR BK did not answer my question.

I, JR, took an errant and truant actor to task tonight for showing up after being gone and NOT answering emails or phone calls for more than a week.

I told him to let me know tomorrow if he was going to miss any more rehearsals, if he was.....he was replaced.....with the man who was sitting in rehearsal tonight with a script and ALL of his blocking written down.

I have my doubts that I will see him again.

And now the reason for all of the unexpected happenings and surprises:

Uranus is in retrograde.  Yes, you heard it hear first on HHW....and now you can expect the consequences and KNOW why they are happening.

SURPRISE!!!
