re: DEXTER

I would keep with it.

I also was not sure after the first episode or two. But it gets better and better.

And re: the female characters. There are quite a few good ones.

Dexter's sister, is great. Really unlike any character i've seen on tv.

Then there is his girlfriend.

And their boss (the black woman, i forget her title). She is also very good.

I've had my first listen to Brett Dennen.  I thought it was a Tracy Chapman CD.

I liked it very much indeed.

I understand that sentiment, but my house isn't boring  ;D

LOL-Nor in our homes.  With all the climbing apparatus, toys, and loads of human attention I doubt they were ever board.

Of course it isn’t easy ignoring a cat when they want attention & if you don’t play with them during the day they will get you while you are sleeping. ;D

The poodle, on the other hand, was named Tinker Bell by the breeder. There was no way in hell I was keeping that name.

 ;D ;D  I don't blame you.  Kimber & Casper are nice names.

DR Ron, I'm amazed all the birds survived.  I never had much luck saving the damaged birds & critters.

Sheesh - spend the evening on the Cleopatra couch and miss 2 HHW milestones.  Congratulations BK and DR Singdaw!

My early alarm and medical workover have caught up with me, so I'm going to bed.

'night!

So...

The round-trip fare to and from Miami is only $4.00(!?!?!?!?) from here on the Tri-Rail.  I still have to figure out how exactly to get to South Beach once I'm inside the Miami City Limits, but it looks like if I take the Tri-Rail to the airport, then I can take a bus (or two) to the beach.

It's a plan.  For now.  I think my travel plans tomorrow will be dependent upon what time I ended up waking up.  Uncle Jojo really could use a morning to sleep in.

$4.00!  The Tri-Rail looks like a good deal.  Good luck tomorrow, after you sleep in, figuring out the rest of the trip.

I just bought a ticket to SUPERIOR DONUTS, Tracey Letts new play. It will be at the Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago when I'm there in August. Haven't decided if I'll cancel my tickets to the baseball game that day. I'm a little concerned I won't be able to do both and frankly, I'd rather see the play starring Michael McKean than the baseball game with Justice Alito and the 8th Circuit Judicial Conference

Good evening fellow DR's.  I hope your day to day was better than it was yesterday.

NOW!  The questions...

DVD:  Kite Runner, I've had it for a week and haven't taken the time to sit and watch it yet.

CD....This is complicated, because I don't really use CD's, unless I'm burning one for in the car.  HOWEVER, I do make playlists.

It's all about slow jazz today and I have Wallace Rooney sweetly playing "Lost" in my ear.  Following that will be  "Smooch," again, by Wallace Rooney.  It may or may not be followed by Diana Krall, we'll see what happens.

Tonight is not the usual music night, I have a tendency to start with Diana Krall or Dave Brubeck and save Wallace Rooney for the end of the evening when I'll sit quietly in the dark, close my eyes and listen with glass of port in hand.  It's just that kind of music.   Perhaps I just needed that kind of relaxation right away.
