Vibes to VIXMOM....at least you were looking good.   ;D

I would have looked a little better if I hadn't started the day by pouring my coffee in my lap

First, let me say Welcome, New D(ear) R(eader) AJameson!!  You said that you embalm people?  I have a friend here in Tumwater, Washington who is a mortician.  He said that for him, it was a "calling."  He loves working with people and being able to help them through tough times.

Thank you George!  I really do think the funeral business is a calling, there are some unpleasant aspects to what I do but I really do love working with people.  I like being able to have a positive influence on a very difficult time in someone's life.

I've heard about trying to burn off fat but this is a little extreme, don't you think ;)

I think it's silly that they are having so many Mamma Mia promos on TV when I can't even go to the movie

Oh, as for your question Cilla... basically Ben explained it... I stopped eating just for the sake of eating and I started paying more attemtion to what I was eating

Instead of a bagel with creamcheese I have a cup of oatmeal and some fruit

instead of three teaspoons of sugar in my coffee or tea I have one packet of Splenda

I eat no pasta or rice and rarely eat potatoes, I when I do it is human portions, not the supersized portions I was used to eating

I am eating lots of steamed veggies, spinach, brussell sprouts, carrots, broccoli, caulifower, squash

I eat lots of fruit, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, bananas, grapefruits

and lots of salads

I don't drink soda and don't eat cakes, pies, cookies, chocolates, ice cream  etc while watching the teevee... I still have the occassional sweet...

and I try to exercise a little every day whether I get to the gym or not...

and I take "Silver" multivitamins.. supposedly providing me with 100% of the necessary vitamins for a woman of my advanceed years

in other news, I answered an email ad (don't ask me why I never do this but it was a Jillian Michaels promo) anyway I got a free Senseo coffee maker if I paid shipping and handling.  So I paid the $15 and it arrived. Brand new.  I actually like it.  I'm supposed to share about it. So there I did.  The offer is still good until June 30 and I think I have the email if anyone is interested.  I also have $20 off coupons I can send as well.

DR Matt H---do you know anything about the Best Actress in a Drama nominees? (Fingers crossed for Kyra!)

DR Ron is absolutely right. So far, at least, the Emmys have not announced the list of semifinalists in the acting categories. They did last year, so they may do so next week.

I would be shocked beyond belief if Kyra doesn't get nominated.

My house is anything but peaceful this evening.  The kid who lives across the street in probably the smallest little house I have ever seen; always has a three day party during the Taste of Tacoma.  Right now I've got about 20 kids sitting on his front lawn screaming and whistling at everyone who walks by or drives by. And no, they aren't drinking water.

Got a fair number of things watched tonight including finishing WALKER TEXAS RANGER!!!

Yes, that is a VERY BIG smile on my face to have finished with that thorough mediocity.

A couple of interesting guest stars in the last episodes: Valarie Pettiford (as a vicious hitwoman), Paul Winfield, and Stephen Macht.
