Good Evening!

Yes, I'm back from Miami - Little Havana to be more accurate.

I walked a lot - almost seven miles!  -Consequently, I sweated a lot too.  However, I did have a pretty good Cuban meal at Versailles.  And the Miami Metrorail and the Tri-Rail were very pleasant transportation experiences... or something like that.

A return to a comment i made yesterday!

Any viewers of "Dexter".  Does it get better?

Keith didn't think so.  I'm not sure.  But then we gave up before completing the first season.

TOD:  I remember eating a group meal once at Mama Leone's in NYC before attending Sweeney Todd.  I remember having a great time, but I don't recall anything about the food specifically.  I don't think the restaurant is there anymore.

Oh, so your the reason they closed down Mama Leone's?  Thank You for your patronage!  ;)

Thank you Jane.  It just looks as if it it will be more of the same each time. The female characters are about as interesting as Legally Blonde and as appealing Sandra Bullock.

(I loathed "While You Were Sleeping" and could not even get through Act one of "Legally Blonde"(the Musical).

A return to a comment i made yesterday!

Any viewers of "Dexter".  Does it get better? I was hoping for so much more. (and I don't mean bodies and blood).  We have on'y watched the forst two episodes so far but the minor characters are either totally annoying or unbelievable.  Perhaps I was expecting another "Six Feet Under" where all the flawed characters were interesting.

I actually preferred the second season to the first.  It seemed the writers finally found their way.  However, it never turned into "must-see" TV the way that "Six Feet Under" did for me (and you).  *The "look" of the show also bothered me.  Some of those interiors - especially in the police station - looked really cheap to me.

Best Friends has a nice video of 3 barn cats being rescued in Iowa.  The water is very high up in the barn.

There are only 11 of 99 counties in Iowa that haven't been declared disaster areas.  I'm lucky to live in one of them.  The floods continue and we keep having storms in different parts of the state.

The animal shelter in Cedar Rapids flooded and they sent 50 to a shelter in Wisconsin.

Sandra Bullock is (to me) the equivalent of Ben Stiller or Adam Sandler).

A recording of some of the JMK arrangements would be welcomed by many!

Yes, but I don't like the cast well enough to make them.   :o

Would you like to know how behind the cultural zeitgeist DS Betsy and I are?  Well, I'm going to tell you anyway.  ;)  We just watched ATONEMENT.  I now hate the name Briony, and if there are any DRs with that name out there in the dark, I hate them as well.

I'm not fond of Ben Stiller or Adam Sandler. I see Sandra Bullock in a totally different light from those two.  Maybe it's just that I like chic flicks

DR CillaLiz  - check with RLP!
I loath "Beaches" and "Steel Magnolias" too.

I've not seen either of the Blonde movies! The musical was just so dreadful! (Well so not to my taste).
I doubt I will care for "Hairspray" either. (The original movie is fine).  Same with "Millie" - fun movie but so pointless as a vehicle for the stage.

On the other hand I loved "Drowsy Chaperone" and "Wicked".

Hmm, well I liked Beaches at the time, haven't seen it since it came out.  I adore Steel Magnolias.  My guess is you don't like Terms of Endearment either.

I wasn't in love with Millie, but like all the others you mention.
