On my last Perry Mason of this best of set - the last three episodes prove Raymond Burr correct - they should have stopped after season seven. They were really scraping the bottom of the barrel by 1965 and 1966.

One of these feeble final episodes has Raymond Burr in a dual role - Perry Mason and a bum. When they resort to that crap you know the writing is on the wall, cancellation-wise.

I may look into buying THE BEST OF PERRY MASON....but I doubt that any of Ms Allison Hayes' episodes are included....although The Case of the Bogus Books is a great one!

I can't wait to see Mamma Mia! I think it's the best of the juke box musicals I've seen. It's so funny and isn't trying to be anything other than a silly fun show.

Of course the 70s were my jr. high and high school years, so we listened to ABBA a lot. I always thought I didn't like them, but I loved hearing the songs again the first time I saw the musical.

I did like "Terms of Endearment".

Good Chick flicks: - "Julia", "Turning Point"

And I enjoy most of the Mercant/Ivory films.

Perfect films for me (or close to):

"Gosford Park" and "Tea With Mussolini"

Disappointing films" The Narnia films. (I just don't like the kids) "Bridge to Terabithia".

Great Films: "Pan's Labrynth", LOTR Trilogy, "Gods and Monsters", "Milagro Bean Field War", "The Legend of 1900". "Cinema Paradiso", "A Very Long Engagement"

To me it got a lot better.

The idea of a serial killer did not really seem like it would be for me.

But I LOVE LOVE this show now (just finished the finale of season 2 this week).
I would say stick with it.

And the secondary characters parts grow. And they become much more interesting.

I totally love dexter's sister especially. But i actually really enjoy so many of the characters.

Very mixed messages re Mamma Mia - lots of forced "I loved it" posts - along with many "a lot of it doesn't work, but I loved it anyway" and several "hated it" - in other words, business as usual.

I'm not anti everything "Chick" Cilla. Hence I thought I'd better give you an idea.
I avoid most Tom Hanks movies. (To me he is aone dimensional actor) and
Oscar winner "Crash" is one of the worst movies I have sat through! ("21 Grams" and "Magnolia" were so much better as was "Babel")

Maybe the female characters are not the core of the show (only dexter is).

But there are some great female characters on the show. You just have to give them a chance.

His sister shines more and more each show.

His girlfriend rita, IMO gets more and more interesting.

The female police boss is really feisty.

I really could not disagree more about dumping this show.

I can't say i know your taste for sure. And i do think the second season was stronger than the first. But the fact that they can make me love a serial killer must say something for the writing!
