The Barry Sisters singing Fiddler On The Roof - that's what we need on CD.  One of the albums on the CD pictured has charts by soon to be film composer Jerry Fielding.

Back from a couple of morning errands - had to get two new little tail light bulbs, first time in ten years that they've burned out.

Sorry to hear about Finn, DR JMK, I remember when you first wrote a post about him awhile ago.....

I am like you, in that I cannot imagine the sorrow of his parents and other family members......

Thanks to all for the comments on the photos.

Yes, DR TCB, I am generally happy with the set.  My lighting was done rather quickly and yesterday in Act Three - which takes place at 2 a.m. - a stray instrument had found its way into the cue and it looked like a huge flying saucer was hovering over Stage Left waiting to beam everyone aboard.....I did get rid of that, now I just have to hang an instrument to put some DAYLIGHT inside the house..

Raining today....of course.

I went to see an amazing film last night with a friend. THE FALL has some of the most stunningly beautiful cinematography that I've seen in recent memory. It wasn't over until 12:15 and then I was wide awake afterwards, thinking about it and didn't get to sleep until 2. So I'm at work and kind of tired today!

Here's a link to the trailer. After seeing the film, I think this is one of the best trailers I've ever seen, because it makes the film look so intriguing without giving anything away.

http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/thefall/trailer/

Oh, and part of the visual feast--lots of beautiful men on display!

I found this dress today at my local Goodwill Store. The label says Saks Fifth Avenue....it is a size 10....and is in very nice shape.....

Price:  $4.99....it will be seen in August in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, no doubt.  ;D

And yes, it is sequins from horn to hoof.

And before everyone gets too horrified, I took it off the wire hanger!  8)

Long, but patently bizarre and potentially amusing, story alert:

I LOVE stories like that! Thanks for sharing, JMK!

In a similar vein, I think you would like the documentary: OFF THE CHARTS, which explores the "Song Poem" phenomenon. "Send us your poem and we'll put it to music".

DR JRand - guess there's no place for that sparkly dress in the All My Sons wardrobe, huh?

Speaking of DR Sing, whom I believe someone once called DR Rickshaw--one of the sillier, yet funny lines, in ADRIFT IN MACAO is the femme fatale yelling, "Rickshaw, Rickshaw!"  A man comes up and says, "Yes?  I'm Rick Shaw..."

Anyway, add another $1 for me! :D

Unfortunately DR GINNY, no, it doesn't belong in ALL MY SONS, although that might not stop a few directors I know from using it.

Today I officially declared myself an impatient patient.  Richard is taking me at 6pm for a haircut and "do," maybe that will help.
