Today I officially declared myself an impatient patient.  Richard is taking me at 6pm for a haircut and "do," maybe that will help.

Couldn't hurt!!!   ;D

BK, WWW.OLDIES.COM is releasing several Barry Sisters albums onto CD later this month. I have never heard them, but I might like to take a listen.

There are also some nifty 1960s Andre Kostelenza (sp) and Big Band 1960s style CDs coming from them, as well.

Today I officially declared myself an impatient patient.  Richard is taking me at 6pm for a haircut and "do," maybe that will help.

I broke my ankle a few years ago and DS Betsy took me to the nearest emergency room, which turned out to be the local Methadone clinic.  Heroin addicts were shown right in while the rest of us got to sit and wait.  Of course, they wouldn't even give me an aspirin until a doctor saw me.  I waited about 45 minutes, with my ankle swelling by the second and finally asked how much longer it would be and a nurse told me "probably 2 to 3 hours."  I called Betsy, told her to pick me up and take me to another hospital, and informed the nurse, who screamed at me as I left, "All right, go ahead and leave, but I'm marking your chart that you eloped triage!"  Ever since then, we have used the term "eloping triage" as much as possible, whether or not it makes any sense in the context of what we're discussing.  ;)

THE FALL definitely "falls" into the category of "see it in a theatre". If that's not possible, then Blu-Ray might be a good option.

One of the things that I admired was that there were no computer-generated graphics. There are obviously processed shots and visual trickery but it was shot in real locations (in 28 countries!). It took the director 4 years to make the film and he apparently financed some of it himself.

I have finished the job! I am dropping the band parts off the conductor now.

Then, perhaps a nap.

DR EDISAURUS I am intrigued by OFF THE CHARTS.  :D

I'm sure you would like it, DR JRand57! I loaned my copy to a friend and never got it back (I guess SHE liked it too!) or else I could lend it to you.

Maybe it's time I asked her about it!

I have to say that I hate the way imdb is functioning these days. On safari, you have to scroll way down before you get any info about the film, and there are all sorts of annoying pop-up ads.

Back from a jog - wasn't going to, then I just did it.  And am I glad - I was concerned about one aspect of this short story I've begun and that was how to end it, and whilst I was jogging it all came to me, the perfect ending, and, in fact, what the story is really about.

Wow!  I did notice that the trailer was had the copyright date of 2006.  If this movie does well, I wonder if it will re-inspire other film-makers that they really don't need all the CGI stuff and can film things "live."  Hopefully, they started with a good script.

Re:  The Fall and Captain Odious.  Oregon Rep. Earl Blumenauer is something of a standup comedian.  In days of yore, I used to conduct a biennial parody show featuring all of the democratic candidates and office-holders statewide, and Earl would usually come and do his standup routine.  He had some great stuff, like unknown state mottos (Kansas:  Our state is more rectangular than yours), but he did a very funny bit on Oregon health insurer ODS, and he asked, "Why would anyone want odious health insurance?"  ;)

It's raining quite heavily here in SW Ohio right now.  No thunder and lightening, just a steady, soaking rain.  Hope it's not doing the same thing in NW Michigan, where Rob and his girlfriend and her sister are setting up the campsite in preparation for the arrival of the rest of the family (mom, dad, brother) this evening after work.

Tonight - THREE CAST MEMBERS will be missing.

You're doing better than I am.  I have pretty much thrown in the towel in terms of pre-staging rehearsals on this Revue.  What I don't get is these people are being paid, and relatively well, considering the show is only running two times, and they're bitching and moaning about the group numbers they have to learn (I thought I was being extraordinarily nice by letting them all choose their own solo numbers from their own repertoire, around which I cobbled together some semblance of a plot).  But when I offer day after day when they can come to my home to run stuff, they're suddenly very, very busy.  Oy.
